The Farming Simulator franchise has been one of my favorites since I was a kid. My journey started with Farming Simulator 17 on mobile, and now I’ve moved on to Farming Simulator 22. Experiencing how much the game has evolved over the years is honestly impressive. FS22 is a great game with an incredible amount of content. There are so many different things to do that you never really feel bored. It’s probably the closest thing to a real farming experience you can get in a video game. The graphics look beautiful, the physics feel realistic, and the overall system — from planting and harvesting to managing animals and production chains — makes you think and plan like a real farmer. One of the best parts of the game is how flexible it is. You can play in a completely chill way, just enjoying the atmosphere and slow-paced farming life. Or you can push yourself, work hard, optimize every detail, and try to become the best farmer in the area. You can roleplay, focus on realism, or just casually enjoy driving huge machines around your land. There’s truly something for everyone. Of course, no game is perfect. The AI workers can sometimes be a bit weak — they occasionally get stuck on roads or in tight spaces. But honestly, it’s a small issue compared to everything the game offers. It doesn’t ruin the experience; if anything, it adds a bit of humor sometimes. Even though I’ve only played for about 11 hours so far, I’ve enjoyed every single minute. And I know this is just the beginning — there are still so many hours of farming, expanding, and experimenting ahead of me. For anyone who enjoys simulation games or just wants a relaxing yet rewarding experience, I highly recommend giving it a try.
I have been playing this game on an All In One PC from 2016, Being an AiO prevents me from being able to upgrade a single thing which forces me to play on low graphics and show self control with mods (as not even the disk space is upgradable). With that said, I absolutely love this game and cannot wait to play it on a much better PC. I have learned so much about the farming life. Obviously I understand it's only to an extent, but I've learned a lot about the machinery, what it's used for and how to use it. It taught me what goes into growing an awesome crop and what goes into harvesting that crop. Even on low graphics, the visuals are amazing. I'm running an i5 with an integrated graphics card that is simply garbage and 8gb of RAM. I absolutely recommend this game to anyone interested in the farming life.
I've really enjoyed playing this game waaaay too much. I like the semi-sandbox nature of the game, and the very strong modding community. Also appreciate that so much of the modded content finds it way to the in-game install platform. Well developed and easy to use, so you get to spend more time playing the actual game. My escape to the country when I'm stuck in the city.
