Thought I was getting a relaxing water park management game. Instead I've become the underpaid manager of the most cursed water park ever built. Every guest appears to wake up each morning with one goal: make my life significantly worse. Someone's drowning, someone else is furious about a queue, a slide has been destroyed, the toilets are a biological hazard so people poo on the floor while pervs snap their pictures 10/10 full-time crisis management simulator. Recommended.
This is one of those sims where the gameplay loop is so fun that it's worth picking up regardless of whether the theme actually appeals to you. I could not be less interested in water parks irl but here I am shoving perverts into the pool and dodging traffic with my box of lemons.
At first, I didn't think much of this, it looked a bit like streamer-bait. When playing it properly, I discovered a much better game than i thought it would. It has just the right amount of jank but also quite a bit of charm. Investing time in proper park design is rewarding. Only critique i had to give in terms of gameplay - please allow more employees to be hired, both early on and later.
I only downloaded this game cause I went to Gooblagoon IRL and it looked like the Hunger Games with floaties—injuries everywhere, lifeguards panicking, and the supposed owner dual-wielding hotdogs like it was his final form. I figured, "How hard can it really be to run a waterpark?" Turns out… easier than finding that guy a salad.
