With boomer shooters being practically a dime a dozen these days, you have to do something pretty inventive to stand out. This game, fittingly enough, went all-in on having a unique style. FPS (har) lives and dies based on The Bit, and... well, it's a good bit. The game fully embraces its silly premise, presented with a total earnestness that remains funny and endearing from front to back without overstaying its welcome at all. The mechanics are a rock-solid foundation; good weapons, varied enemies, well-structured levels, no noticeable complaints at all. I think my one beef with the game is that each enemy is not just vulnerable to one weapon type, but can *only* really be fought with one or two weapons. It makes sense with the game's style, but there were some moments where I was bummed that I couldn't use the (wonderful) shotgun against more enemies than the handful of guys wearing dull suits. (Also, the soundtrack bumps.) This is a very easy recommend to anyone who enjoys boomer shooters but wants something a bit more fresh.

This game is not for me, but it deserves praise where praise is due. First of all, it's nice to play an FPS game about positivity instead of merciless death for once. This game is so upbeat and charming it's really hard not to constantly smile whilst playing it. Next, gameplay. Largely simple, though it takes a couple notes from DOOM Eternal's Rock/Paper/Scissors design and turns it into "enemies can only be killed with specific weapons". That sounds kinda insufferable on it's surface (and is why I didn't try it out for so long) but I think the enemies are engaging enough to make it work. Besides, it definitely makes you think constantly during combat, which is absolutely what I want from this game. Weapons all feel different and are very creative, and I reallllly like the fashion belt. It both stuns enemies AND gives way for some pretty dope FPS platforming. The story was cheesy in the best way possible. Very self aware, and for once I actually enjoyed the use of modern slang in a game. I know, right? You'd think it'd be eyeroll-worthy, but naw, in the context of the game it's really cool. Overall if this game looks interesting to you, I'd highly recommend it. It simply didn't click with me, but that's okay, I'm a picky person.

Let me start by saying Fashion Police Squad isn’t just a game. It’s a lifestyle. A runway. A spiritual journey. And apparently, the result of what would happen in an alternate Jojo’s Bizarre Universe where Joseph Joestar's insatiable libido makes one last stopover in 1980s Detroit, seducing a Motown backup singer with hips blessed by Dionysus himself. Nine months later, boom— Sergeant Des is born. And unlike his brooding half-brother Jotaro Kujo, who screams "ORA ORA ORA" while smashing Stand users into asphalt, Sergeant Des screams "YAAAS" while belt-whipping fashion disasters into 7th Avenue oblivion. Sergeant Des doesn’t travel the World defeating Stands. No no. He majored in criminal justice and advanced textile theory at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, minoring in run-and-gun fabulousness. He enforces justice with a color-coded wardrobe of glamorized weapons: a belt of righteousness that smacks the sins of cargo shorts right outta people’s souls, and a tailoring cannon that fits your sloppy hoodie into a red-carpet tux quicker than you can say Armani Armageddon. The gameplay is DOOM meets RuPaul’s Drag Race meets Queer Eye for the Armed Guy. Every level feels like an episode of Project Runway that got hijacked by an elite SWAT team from Vogue magazine. There's no blood. Only runway red. Enemies don’t die, they get makeovers. Boss fights? You’re not beating them, you’re elevating them. Emotionally. Spiritually. Stylistically. The dialogue? Shakespearean if Shakespeare were raised in a Miami nightclub by drag queens and Jojo villains. Every one-liner is delivered with the kind of confidence only someone wearing leather chaps and a PhD in Sassology could possess. Oh, and the soundtrack slaps harder than a House DJ in Milan during Fashion Week. One minute you're weaving through polyester-perpetrating punks, the next you’re in a slow-mo catwalk shootout in the middle of Times Square while disco synths explode like Studio 54 resurrected from the ashes. This isn’t just a shooter. It’s a zesty crusade. A saga of sparkle. A testimony to what happens when the Joestar bloodline collides with queer-coded couture combat. Somewhere out there, Joseph Joestar is crying in his whiskey, proud and confused. And Jotaro? He’s probably in therapy trying to process why his half-brother got more charisma, better cheekbones, and an unlimited supply of Sock Gnome grenades. Final Verdict: If JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure had a baby with Duke Nukem and raised it on drag brunches, club remixes, and fashion week breakdowns, this would be it. Justice never looked so fierce.

Top 5 best indie game i played. Every hour game introduced new mechanics and new enemy type to keep things exciting. I would recommend it to everyone who likes Doom like shooting. The game knows when to call it quits.it would've been solid 10/10 if there was one or two more bosses but even in its current state its solid 9/10.

I don't know why I was skeptical on this game for so many years, but I finally bought it and had such a fun time. The easter eggs, the jokes, everything about this game is great. I wish there was a bit more to it, but I still had fun with it.
