A Perfect Follow Up to the Game That Took the World by Storm Ever since the first Five Hearts Under One Roof released, I have been completely hooked on Storytaco ’s FMVs. I have finished every single one, and when the sequel was announced, I was counting down the days until I could get this. As your local FMV reviewer, of course I jumped into this game the moment it came out Now that I have completed the entire game, earned 100% of the achievements , and secured that beautiful perfect game, I feel fully ready to share my thoughts and hopefully help anyone deciding whether this game is right for them The Story The story immediately brings you back into its world. Yu-man returns as charming as ever. With Eun-bi and Seung-Yi gone, the boarding house feels a little empty at first, but that never lasts long. Yu-man ’s parents are away on another business trip, leaving you in charge of deciding who gets to move in and who might quietly move into your heart. The setup feels familiar in a comforting way with just enough new personality to keep everything engaging. The Characters Gyu-ri : The standout character for me (Waifu) . Gyu-ri is the new addition to the Five Hearts universe, She’s a hardworking nurse from the university hospital, endlessly sweet and caring even with her exhausting job. No matter how busy she is, she still checks in on you, makes sure you eat, and showers you with gentle warmth. Her cheerful personality makes it impossible not to fall for her. Min-jung : The Solo Artist Min-jung is now a successful solo idol after the events of the first game, brought a bright and lovable energy back into the story. Despite her fame and the attention she gets, she’s still the same bubbly girl who never forgot Yu-man . The moment she gets the chance to return to him, she does so without hesitation, putting him before her career in the most heart-fluttering way. She’s adorable, loyal, and still has that infectious charm. Mal-sook : The Childhood Friend Mal-sook has returned and is still teasing, supportive, and sometimes a bit too good at keeping the household in order when you’re… unavailable. She’s playful and deeply loyal, even if she tries to hide the jealousy that slips through her jokes now and then. Her presence makes the house feel warm, familiar, and like a home. Gran : Manager of the Milk Corporation Gran is assertive without being overbearing, flirty without being overwhelming, and she absolutely knows what she wants. Always bold, tough, and completely unshakeable. There’s a commanding protectiveness to her that really fits her “mommy energy,” and she carries it proudly and charmingly. Yu-jeong : The Jack-of-all-Trades Yu jeong brings her own brand of sweetness. Constantly juggling odd jobs in hopes of saving for college and running on barely four hours of sleep, she still finds time to brighten your day, check in on you, and make you smile even when her schedule is bursting at the seams. She’s hardworking, adorable, and incredibly endearing. Yu-na : The Wealthy Heiress Yu-na is softer and more emotional. She grew up surrounded by wealth and does not always understand everyday struggles, but she wants to build her own identity and earn achievements on her own terms. Her kind heart and gentle insecurity make her surprisingly relatable. The Translation It is extremely smooth. There are a few rare moments where the phrasing sounds like a direct translation, but nothing that disrupts the experience. The story is always clear and always easy to follow, even for those unfamiliar with Korean. Phone and exploration mechanics They were a pleasant surprise. Many FMV s can feel clunky during these parts, but Storytaco streamlined everything by removing text messages and keeping exploration simple. Item descriptions are clean and easy to read, and there are fun secret objects hidden around for curious players who enjoy clicking everything. The result is a game that stays engaging without slowing down. The soundtrack The new effort that Storytaco has put towards the music quickly became one of my favourite parts of the game. Every song fits its scene beautifully, and the music adds a lot of emotional depth. It is definitely worth grabbing the soundtrack DLC if you enjoy the in-game tracks. Although I have to admit, I do miss the Vanilla Ice Cream song from the first game... It was truly a masterpiece. Final Thoughts Overall, Five Hearts Under One Roof 2 was a wonderful experience. It felt heartfelt, polished, and deeply enjoyable from start to finish. The production quality is high, the acting is fantastic, and the cast, many of whom are well-known Korean influencers, deliver expressive and believable performances. They make the world feel alive and vibrant in a way that few FMV s achieve. Message to Storytaco Thank you for continuing to support this genre and for putting so much care into your work. I am excited to see what you create next, and I wish the entire development team and the cast nothing but success and happiness moving forward. 9/10 Highly recommend

EVERY GAME THIS YEAR IS LUCKY, that this game wasn't released a month prior because they would've lost any chance at GOTY title. This game clears every release this year AND last year. The gameplay is fresh, the mechanics are polished, the graphics are ABSOLUTELLY INSANE. The visuals are unmatched and I just sold the house to buy more copies of this game. I recommend this game with all my soul. Thank you, -x
