Honestly? I'm a bit shocked how much I liked SOTM. I used to be one of those FNAF fans who refused to touch anything past Pizza Sim, and I hated Security Breach; but sitting down and playing SOTM felt almost like a breath of fresh air. I did end up softlocking myself several times and the game is still filled with bugs and crashes, but after my frustration wore off I was just impressed. Having a more limited open world was 100% the right route to take, and it felt like I was playing early indie horrors back in 2016. Maybe not the strongest FNAF title, but it shines on its own enough to be enjoyable
WOW WOW WOW. I seriously got to hand it to steel wool for this one. This is a game with great story, innovative gameplay, and subtle hints at the other games, while still having its own independent storyline. This is a really good starting point if you are new, and is absolutely recommended for veterans of the series.
