Let me preface this with a suggestion: If you want a way more up to date and very similar game, check out Software Inc. Buy Game Dev Tycoon for the nostalgia and simplicity, Software Inc for modern and complexity. Game Dev Tycoon was one of the first games I ever pirated, and one of the first games I ever bought. For little me, this game was what made me love management games. It is a very simple game, and after you play for a bit and learn some patterns you will steamroll everything. Match the patterns, you have a 10/10 game. It pains me to say this as I wished there was more to this, but the current price is perfect for the game of this scale. If there was way more content I would have been fine paying $20-$30 for this game.

At first I tried to be artistic and create new experiences, but that didn't sell, so I learned how to make RPGs, created couple of franchises and milked them dry. Ended the game with 500mil in the bank. Gaming industry is such a gaming industry

silly game maker sim with interesting mechanics and sliders you'll spend hours giving your games names like "poo flinging simulator" that get 11/10 reviews and sell 1 Billion copies. Then you'll make an actual, down to earth game called something dramatic like "Surviving the fall", an story based survival game with steering wheel support that gets 0/10 with a review saying "This was horrible"
