I find this game enjoyable overall. The winter months as german can be a bit of a chore, but it's a great game.

Always enjoyed large strategy games and this is huge. Whole eastern front from start to end, get it on sale. It is a steep learn as so much to it but it does have simpler air rules than WITE 2. Computer opponent not to bad mainly played as germans and has certainly been enjoyable as up their level starts getting tricky. get the map mod so it looks a lot nicer (look in discussions it is highlighted there). May be simple but takes a while to master, plenty of articles and guides out there to help.

i LOVE THE DETAIL IN THIS GAME. AS WITH ANY HISTORICAL LOOKBACK, I CAN'T IMAGINE HOW THE GERMANS THOUGHT THEY COULD WIN, BUT ITS FUN TRYING.
