PROS: - The combat is fun, the combination of grid based and real-time is unique and the player feedback (visual/sound effects) makes fighting very satisfying. - The pixel art, animation and VFX are gorgeous, the game is an absolute pleasure to look at. - The boss fights are fair and well designed. - The difficulty curve is solid overall* - The available characters all seem viable and have unique playstyles. CONS: - Most of the progression systems, both inside and outside the run are just stat increases. They don't actually change the way you want to play or enable interesting builds/synergies. - Some of the mutually exclusive upgrades on the skill tree actively synergize with each other, which seems like an odd design decision to me. - Story content is locked behind the increased difficulty modes. - *Except the highest difficulty is imo frustratingly difficult and not worth playing. The jump from Eclipse to Total Eclipse is disproportionate and requires A LOT of skill and stars to align to reasonably complete. Overall I do think it's worth playing, especially on sale. It's very enjoyable for the first 10 hours or so, just don't expect the kind of replayability you'd see in top roguelites like Slay the Spire and Hades. The playstyles really just stem from the characters and their skill trees, not the artifacts, so there's not enough incentive to keep playing once you've done a couple of runs on each character. Don't bother with 100% completion unless you're either really good or really masochistic. 7/10

I'm struggling to find a game to compare this to (maybe one step through eden), but the real-time grid-based combat works really well here. The boss fights are among some of the best I've come across. If it seems slow in the beginning, give it until the final difficulty, where the speed ramps up and you're able to unlock the true ending. There are some gripes I have: no mouse support, unable to click through some dialogues, and certain keys are hard bound overlapping with remapped keys ("f" to interact). But none of it conflicts with the combat, which I have to say again, is really good.

Game is simple, fun, and so polished you won't even feel like it has tile based movement, it is kind of a refreshing take on the roguelite genre. The game has really good pacing as well, while losing is part of the game, I never felt like I was grinding for stats/levels for player progression, all of my losses were merely because I didn't know how the fight works rather than because I didn't have enough hp or damage or I didn't build my character properly. It's just a really good mix of recent modern roguelites with a really cute art style, so I highly recommend checking the game out.

What I enjoy most are the boss fights. They feel fun, different, exciting, and not too hard, which makes them enjoyable without being frustrating. The music fits the stages well, the story is easy to follow, and there are many builds to try. The characters are cute, and the style really feels like Hades but anime. I found a few small bugs that don’t affect gameplay, and some parts are still a bit confusing. I haven’t reached the endgame yet, so I can’t say for sure about the later systems, but overall it’s a really fun game

This is what happens when Koreans don't make ♥♥♥♥♥♥ mobile games or predatory MMOs. They make an amazing game with amazing art and music.
