Love this game! I much preferred the cooking parts of the original Burger Farm, so getting a rougelike-ish expansion to it with more maps is awesome! I haven't played much online but the solo experience is fun enough for me! The devs really "cooked" with this one!

Updated Review: (7/23/26) After the new update, I have enjoyed playing this game, shift after shift. Having it scale per completed shift and player count was astounding. Been able to go further and attempt the different difficulty (multiplier enhancers) as well while solo. I'm happy with how active the Devs are and the further exploration of this Universe. I hope we can get further costumes, mask and locations later down the road. I truly have been Humbled. Outdated Review: Enjoying it so far, from what I've seen some of the mix reviews are from bugs and difficulty scale for solo players. I think bugs aren't too bad since those can get patched and i haven't come across any yet. But i can admit playing solo is a bit difficult ONLY on the CLOSING sections of the night. I complete the order minimum for the quota but closing shift is a whole different beast. The task list seems minimum at first but by the time your on the 2nd or 3rd list requirement, it's already on your ahh. Can make it a tad frustrating restarting which was an overall great work shift. But the gameplay loop is fun along with the visuals. I'm glad Toe is still around whether its for better or worse. Hoping to investing more hours into this, but any who got to keep a Moooo-ve on before i get fired. ps- this review is very vague to avoid spoilers and since I've only completed 1 night successfully and lost 3. may update with gained experience who knows?

Came home from my 9 to 5 minimum wage job to play a game about working a 9 to 5 minimum wage job. Corporations officially won. It was only a matter of time that Scythe Dev Team would adapt [url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/1433340/Happys_Humble_Burger_Farm/]their best hit for co-op. In fact it was quite natural if you take into consideration the direction so many other indie games took. Small, affordable, demanding but satisfying gameplay loop, focus on replayability and meta progression. A good way to kill a couple dozen hours with friends, because yes, playing this game alone isn't recommended, especially if you crank up the modifiers. It's not what I wanted for Happy's Humble Burger franchise, but this is what we got . Anyway, IT'S GRINDING IN FRONT OF THE FRYER TIME . This time around you embark on shifts to meet the quota without disabilazing the simulation. Continuance success increases your earnings and forces you to choose modifiers that stack till the end of the run. Do good and you get to unlock new maps, cosmetics, items and achievements. Do poorly and you get nothing. A classic premise of any modern co-op game out there. Gameplay loop didn't change since Burger Farm, and I'm fine with that because " if it ain't broke, don't fix it ". But now you can make your buddies do other stuff like stockpiling patties, prepare drinks, taking care of side orders, certain threats etc. This almost makes working in a burger joint fun! (It's not, it's actually not, don't do this, they made me type this THEY ARE WATCHING REVIEWS) One of the biggest difference is the microphone utilization . If you find one of many incantations written on walls, floor and ceiling around the maps you can say it out loud and it will actually do something . It varies from goofy " make everyone drunk " or " steal an item your friend is holding " incantations to something useful like teleportation or stopping time that greatly help in chases or tough situations that require a lot of management. At first I didn't know that was even a feature, I just shrug it off as world building. But upon discovering it everything changed . Runs became more chaotic, engaging and most of all fun . Unlike majority of so called "friend slop" games this one isn't for faintest of hearts. You will lose, and after a couple of attempts it will be clear that you've tasted the ultra processed brick wall, and it tastes good . Exploration and mastery of mechanics is necessary to do good. It's not an "afk turn your brains off" type game. You either drop the game in frustration or suck it up and improve. Big tip, do the latter, it's worth it . This isn't the best or most innovative or genre defining game, but it's competently made and it's a good change from your average "business running sims" type games. It definitely requires some additional improvements, like any new released game these days. But I can't say it's bad or mid. It's pretty good.
