Cute little hidden object searching game. Some of the hints they give out are pretty funny. Quick and easy achievements too if you're into that

Hidden Through Time: A Hidden Gem Travel through time as you find all sorts of objects and items – sometimes missing, sometimes hidden on purpose – in this hidden object world! Get to know your surroundings as you slowly collect everything with the help of (sometimes rather silly) hints. Hidden Through Time is the best hidden object game I’ve played to date. It’s not perfect by any means, but it’s definitely top of the list for me. I’m honestly surprised not more people know about this game’s existence. The game consists of three main parts: the story mode (and the DLCs), the map maker, and the online maps. Story Mode and DLCs The main Story Mode consists of four time periods, starting in the Cavemen area. After this you’ll enter the Egyptian area, followed by the Medieval area, and wrapping up the story with the Western area. All four time periods are distinct from another and contain a bunch of levels. I really like how you have to actually interact with the levels to find certain items, for example by opening up houses or lifting the lids off of pots. The one downside to the Story Mode (and also the DLCs) is that some of the hints for the items are extremely useless, but it’s something I can look past. Every level is like its own little world; a scene that plays out over and over again. They really tell a story. Hidden Through Time has five DLCs. If you are a completionist like me, you don’t need these for the 100%. All of the Story Mode related achievements are only for finding all objectives on every Story Mode map; the rest will accumulate naturally or has to be achieved in the online mode. Nonetheless, I think getting the DLCs is very worth it. It’s basically a great expansion of the main game, adding five more time periods to the already existing four ones in the main game. It adds a lot of gameplay and especially when the Hidden Through Time Deluxe Edition is on sale, it’s also very worth the price. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3471835145 Map Maker The map maker took up more of my time than I originally expected, both for good and bad reasons. It’s actually really fun to create your own scene and it’s very customisable. You get to choose from all the available time periods and can use objects from all time periods on one map. It’s very functional. You can make the animals and people walk around by creating a path for them as well, and this is where my one critique really lies. The pathfinding itself is alright, but as soon as you try to upload your level to the cloud, the pathfinding really sh1ts on itself: ruining existing paths, messing up the path you created for the character, and making them clip over or through objects that were not previously in their path. I spent a solid hour trying to fix this issue, but ultimately decided to just delete most of my walking animals and people. Very unfortunate, but the map maker is still a lot of fun regardless. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3471834628 Online Maps So, as I just mentioned above, you can upload your custom made maps to the cloud. In this online mode, you get to play and rank levels other players made. There are a lot of great levels out there and it works pretty okay, the loading times are just pretty long. There’s a few achievements tied to this mode. In total, you have to complete 50 online maps for the 100%. I’m not a fan of this achievement because it just takes so long to enter levels, and only playing maps titled things like “Achievement” or “Platinum” does not make it any better. Those maps usually don’t contain any real passion. Overall it’s nice, I just think they should not have tied so many achievements to this aspect of the game. Maybe one for making your own map instead of completing 50 maps made by others. Final Verdict Hidden Through Time is a very enjoyable hidden object game. It has a lot of content compared to many other hidden object games I’ve played before and has very nice interactable hidden items to find. The map maker works well apart from the pathfinding of the walking characters, and the online maps are usually fun but take a while to load into. I highly recommend you pick this up, specifically the Deluxe Edition bundle, and I’m highly considering playing Hidden Through Time 2.

it's ok. drawings are cute but the constant moving of the characters is tiresome. are they dancing, are they fighting, do they need to pee? nobody knows. the hint system could be better. the hints are very vague. there is 1 map where i just cant find an object and the hint is not really helping me out. i havent tried the online maps.
