Very different from the last 2 Chapters. They focused more so on Keiichi as a character and his dynamics with Satoko, rather than Hinamizawa itself. Though, i get the distinct feeling this chapter holds very important information/hints within it (which we will find out during the answer arcs). I dont LOVE where it went towards the end, but i would still put this chapter in A, maybe S tier.

Chapter/Episode 3 in a When They Cry Sound Novel is the "No Turning Back" signpost right before you experience peak where your knowledge of these events is unforgettable and you can not stop until you know how it ends. You know the guy who is mining to get to the diamonds in that one meme? You're literally there right now i need you to remember this is an experience you can choose to enjoy and you'll be due for x200 stonks in everything (camaraderie, love, paranoia, mystery) don't worry about it ending with #8 this is some highly effective stuff I think i would hug the writer if i could.

One of the best chapters in the series. I often dislike characters like Satoko in japanese media overall, for a lot of different reasons, but this one character is almost awakening my older brother complex - and I'm a single child. The context of later chapters makes this one some of the best of what this series has to offer. It's painful, it's funny, and it feels great when you say "let's just fucking kill him" and the game actually goes for it That last bit alone is why this chapter is a 10/10 to me. This never happens in media as a whole (at least not the ones I went over so far). Even if it does set it up to be the bad end later

Tatarigoroshi was a good chapter. It had a great amount of mystery, drama, and emotion. The last several hours were a trip, and I want to uncover more.
