Okay I have owned this purchased this game already in 2015, but didnt like the game then. If your case is the same i would recommend you to try it again. This game has changed a lot in my opinion. But if not, and you are considering to buy this game now, highly recommend it. Probably the best vehicle builder out there. so lemme tell you something about it and what to expect. So first of all, This game is not for everybody. There are 3 types (generally) who start this game. The one who doesn't like it, doesn't know how to build, who doesn't want to even try to learn, doesn't know logic and doesn't even try to understand it, and who quits, gives a bad rewiew, and refunds. maybe not so radical, but a combination of those. there's nothing wrong in being one of these, it just means that this isn't the game for you. completely understandable. i feel that ~30% of who tries this are these types of players. Then there are the ones who see potential. they sacrifice their money and go past the refund stage, and tries. Usually these players get thourgh the brick wall of logic and complexity, they will like the game or even love it! theyll probably join the awesome discord server and engage with the awesome community. these players are the biggest portion of players from this game in my opinion ~55% and they will probably play the game for hundreds of hours. And then theres that guy who loves the building and freedom of the game and the 'customization' of parts and the logic. They will probably play the game for hundreds and hundreds of hours. I am personally in this gategory and love the game. these are i feel like the last ~15% of the community. There are more but i thonk those are the main 3. BUT NOW. What does the game do great and where there is something to improve on. GOOD THINGS: - clipping. Every part can be clipped into eacother making more awesome things possible. - Logic. Daym there is logic. - Tickrate. The physics are calculated up to 200hz/times in a second. 200! - The non exploding crafts if built right. Unlike in some games. - Customization of Wheels, gearboxes Etc. - Land, Sea, Air vehicles! - GUNS! - Good multiplayer. - Most things from IRL can be recreated with some trickery and creative thinking. - Very large map. - Good and creative builder. (Things still get out of hand sometimes) - Good physics. - AWESOME COMMUNITY! NOT SO GOOD THINGS: - Sometimes when things go out of whack they REALLY go out of whack. - Performance can be little meh depending on the situation. (Atleast on my setup) - Mod support is not ideal, BUT it is still a thing and you can still join a server even though others dont have the mod. Even custom models. - Bugs. Most are not game affecting but there is still a amount of those. (The game is made by only a few devs though) NEUTRAL THINGS: - Little aged graphics. - Little aged models. (Not all though) - Learning curve is not the smoothest. So these are the few things that come tho my mind from my modest amount of playing the game. If you are looking for a good vehicle builder, this is worth the 15€. Ill be looking forward to posting a update on my 300hr game time achievment. Hope this helped you to make a choice! 300 Hour update! If you tried this game before 2018 christmas and didn't like it, go try it again, it got a new builder which is absolutely awesome. Now that I have racked up 200 more hours in this game, I can say that it just gets better with time. The new builder! The new builder has made the game so much more playable. No more dropping items on the ground and then welding them on, You just add them directly from the inventory. The addition of copying and symmetry has decreased the built time by a huge amount. You can do the same, better, in 3rd of the time than in the old builder. There are also new tools like the paint tool that lets you finally, well, paint your parts. No more need to use mods for that. Testing vehicles won't force you out of the builder anymore, just press f3 and your vehicle is dropped to the ground with physics and full control, and another press of f3 brings you back to building. No more 10 cm snap limit. Do i need to even address how big QoL that is? Every creation can be made to look 10 times better. The only limit is that 1 mm is the smallest achievable snap. The same goes for rotation. Parenting is another thing that is huge. Built a part of your vehicle on the wrong hinge? No problem anymore. You just select the parts and parent them to the correct hinge! Amazing. Shapes! No need to recreate cylinders using plates. now you can just add one. Almost all things can be adjusted! Thickness of pipes? No problem. Thickness of plates? No problem. You get the idea. Other things! - Snap in the tuner. Awesome. - Ability to mute your vehicle in the builder. Awesome x2. - Ability to hide the world. Amazing x3. - Ability to hide certain parts when building, thank god. - Storing selection groups. Use full with large builds and stuff. Awesome community! There has been efforts by the community and the devs that has brought us awesome stuff. For example, wheel replacer, now officially in the game! Tired of your old wheels? Make your own now! There is also a mesh hider mod that makes parts invisible! And much more! If you didn't like the old builder, You are probably going to like this. Only negative is that there are still some bugs in the new builder and some features are missing but nothing that will make it unusable. I'm going to make another recap at 500 hours of game time. Till then. 500 Hour update! I have to say, nothing major has happened since my 300 hour update, but things are moving in the background! The devs are a bit busy with other things going on, but HB is constantly being worked on! From what I have heard, updates have been delayed by some background shenanigans, but I suspect there should be coming something new soon™. As I said, nothing major has happened. Community is still awesome. I will update again, either at 1000 hours or when something major comes out!

I absolutely LOVE this game and I wouldn't have it any other way. The price is amazing and the amount of resources it uses on my computer are next to nothing. I also love how active the developers are in the community. Update 6-21-18 The game has changed quite a bit since my original review (2-14-15), with a lot more skookum (good) stuff added, but the quality of gameplay has not suffered at all (it's actually much better, and more optimized). There is a steep learning curve, but if you choose to buy this game (even if you don't, I'll still be here), I'm semi-active in the Discord community, and can help newer players get a basic understanding of how the skookum stuff works.

Due to life being life, I haven't had as much time to play this title as I'd like to. But I've played enough to realize that this game is downright awesome. Sadly, for some reason, it has remained criminally underrated here on Steam. It deserves far more attention and DEFINITELY does not deserve the negative ratings it has gotten recently. Most of the negative reviews I've read stem from two general complaints, both of which are stupid, as I shall now explain... Stupid Complaint # 1 - "This game is tooo Harrd! How doo I vehicle more?" Explanation: This is a physics and engineering sandbox game, consisting essentially of two elements: a set of tools with which players can create machines; and an environment in which they can observe and interact with those machines. The more robust and detailed these two elements are, the more complex the software will be. This is inevitable. If you want the power and freedom to create fantastic, interesting machines, you MUST be willing to learn how to use the advanced tools required to do so. There are plenty of avenues to learn how to play this game. If you don't want to learn anything new - fine. Go play Doom or Flappy Bird or whatever. But don't blame this game for your laziness. Stupid Complaint # 2: "This game has bugs / incomplete features. It's like they're charging us for EARLY ACCESS to their unfinished game! WTF?!" Explanation: Firstly, learn to read. Second, use your newfound reading skill to acquire knowledge about products BEFORE you spend money on them. This strategy will reduce the likelihood that you will purchase something you do not actually want, such as an early access copy of a game that is still under development. If you review an early access game, you have to review it AS SUCH. As of the writing of this review, there have been 71 announcements from the developers. Seventy-fricking-one! A little research will quickly show that the game is under active development and there is a great relationship between the devs and the community. This is pretty much all that can be asked of an early access title (and it's a hell of a lot more than you'll get from most games currently listed as early access). If you don't like early access, don't buy it until it's finished. But don't criticize the game for not being complete when it isn't claiming to be so. Ignoring the negative reviews based on the two stupid reasons I just debunked, you'll see that this game has gotten a lot of positive feedback. And it clearly deserves it. There are very quality few games in this genre. I have scoured every corner of Steam, and I can name every one I found on one hand. Kerbal Space Program, Space Engineers, From the Depths, and Homebrew Vehicle Sandbox - if you know of a single other title worthy of being on that list, I'd love to hear it. In the meantime, if you like any one of those games, I suggest buying them all. Between the four of them, you should have enough to keep you occupied for at least a decade or two.

First and foremost, it needs to be said that this game is in very early stages of development. Additionally, if you don't enjoy things like geometry, physics, engineering, aerodynamics, etc, this game may not be up your alley. THAT SAID, I personally find this game extraordinarily brilliant. There is a learning curve, absolutely, but the complaints that there is no information available to guide you are blatantly false. Granted, it isn't the typical bright and friendly hold-your-hand walkthrough sort of tutorial that lots of full release games have nowadays. People who are capable of reading and following directions will have no trouble, though. As an avid, lifelong fan of all means of transportation, Homebrew has allowed me to create functional versions of daydream vehicles once confined to the realm of doodles on scratch paper. There has never been a game quite like this one, and it only stands to improve as time goes on.

So when i saw trailer i understood it will be good. But i didnt expext so much. The game is awesome, and the only bug i have met was cursor disappearing in building menu. That disappointed me a little but when I relaunched the game it all was working perfect. Also thanks for no lagging as soon as my PC is not powerfull at all.
