The only reason I got this game was for the new content and the nostalgia. Way back years ago I had this game on my nintendo switch lite. This game was a very good part of my childhood. I stopped playing the game around when the miniature level came out. Now with a PC I can experience all the shortcuts and glitches I experienced before. Also the music design is beautiful and I didn't appreciate it enough before. This review is a thank you because the joy you brought me, the memories.

A Physics Experiment Gone Horribly (and Hilariously) Wrong Human: Fall Flat is the only game where I’ve spent 30 minutes trying to climb a wall that’s two feet tall. My character moves like a drunk marshmallow with commitment issues. Every puzzle turns into a group therapy session where everyone’s screaming, “Grab my arm!” while simultaneously falling off the map. I didn’t solve puzzles, I just created new forms of chaos. The controls feel like wrestling with gravity itself, and somehow, that’s the best part. Would I recommend it? Yes, but only if your friendships are strong enough to survive screaming ‘LET GO OF ME!’ 20 times.”

So I played this game once before on Xbox Game Pass, and I wanted to own it for myself so I could play it again sometime. Is this game worth $5 on sale? Yes. Is it worth the full $20? Sure! The base release of this game, only going up to a "power plant" level, was about four or five hours of content, but the developers of this game have repeatedly shown their care for the community and players by adding free content updates since its release. Despite this being one of the top-selling games of all time, especially in China, a famously-lucrative market, the devs just said "screw it, free DLC." By now, this game has expanded GREATLY beyond the original release, and that $20 you may spend (or may HAVE spent back in the day) will have become worth it. 31 free DLC levels! That's insane. They could be on Human Fall Flat 9 by now but they've held back. So like, what exactly is this game? And why is it so popular in China? Human Fall Flat is a game where you control these wonky little fellas, called humans, in a series of themed obstacle courses, complete with weird physics and difficult platforming themed primarily around the fact you can use your hands to grab any surface and lift yourself. Left click/trigger is your left hand, right click/trigger is your right hand, WASD moves you, and you rotate the camera to aim those hands. That's the entire game. But the lack of complexity becomes this game's complexity when it throws any sort of level design at you. Jumping? Hard. Swinging on ropes? Hard. Lifting boxes onto buttons? Hard. It's fun to speedrun, and fun to struggle through casually. As for why it's popular in China, it's mostly because this game is the epitome of inoffensive games. There is no political agenda, no real "moral" message, no killing, no combat, nothing that could ever BE censored. Most western developers refuse to touch the Chinese market because of how much censorship is needed to localize games. Human Fall Flat was able to release in its complete state, and of course struck viral status with the goofy antics players can get up to. But don't let that fool you: this is a game most people will enjoy, be it for a quick laugh or a full playthrough. It's ESPECIALLY fun on co-op, and finding ways to cheese the engine and skip levels becomes a game in and of itself. Final review? Check this game out. If you don't want to spend the money to buy it, give it a try on Game Pass (you can stream it to your PC). But also just remember you're reading reviews for the eleventh best-selling games of all time, this is obviously a waste of your time.

“The game that teaches the philosophy of falling” Human: Fall Flat isn't really a game; it's a physics-based fall simulation that sums up life. At first you think “what's the big deal, you just open a door with two arms”, but then you realize that the real challenge isn't opening the door, it's getting to it without crawling in funny ways. When you play with friends, things get completely out of hand. One tries to build a bridge, the other sets fire to the bridge (there's no fire in the game, but it's so chaotic that you feel like there is fire). While I was seriously trying to solve the puzzle, my friend grabbed me by the collar and threw me off a cliff. And strangely, I can't remember a moment I had more fun than that. The physics are so ridiculous that sometimes, instead of trying out solutions, you just fall down and laugh. But oddly enough, you find incredibly creative solutions within the absurdity of the game. Throwing your friend instead of a rope, making yourself a bridge instead of a bridge... It makes you question the limits of humanity. It can be played alone, but the real fun is in multiplayer. If you have friends, you will have a laughing fit with them

I cannot imagine playing this game through solo. However if you have a friend and love some absolute chaos then this game is excellent. It can be a bit frustrating to 100% but not too bad.
