Very cute local 2 player game that I played with bro. The graphics are very pretty even for a 8 year old game and the puzzles are fun. Recommended to play with a close friend / partner / siblings / children. The EA Account is annoying, but I was able to skip it entirely on SteamOS.
I am very sad that I will probably never find game that is as good with 2-player mechanics as this game. Being able to assist each other on more difficult jumps and the mechanic to literally carry one another through difficult sections is the best thing for couples with big skill gaps. Completely removed the frustration of not being able to beat some obstacle for my wife. The game art is gorgeous too, we liked everything about it. Technical details on couch setup which might be useful for some: I use sunshine + moonlight to stream from PC to TV, created a virtual 4K screen which is default for steam big screen mode (there's a setting for that). When I connect to the PC by launching steam big picture 4K virtual screen automatically becomes main and all the games launch on it at 4K resolution matching TV's resolution.
Important: There are two bugs you need to fix before playing this game: Resolution Bug: Go to the settings, change the display mode to "Windowed: No," set it to the smallest resolution, and then change it back to your largest/native resolution. Controller Support: If your controller isn't working, Alt-Tab out of the game, go to Steam, and make sure to turn on "Steam Input" for your controller(s). Once you get past those minor setup hurdles, this game is absolutely brilliant! It has fun gameplay, beautiful graphics, and is the perfect title if you are looking to introduce a non-gamer partner to video games. My wife and I absolutely loved playing this together. The cooperative mechanics are incredibly thoughtful, especially the carry feature. Whenever she got frustrated or stuck on a tricky platforming section, she could simply hop onto my back and I could carry us through. It completely removes the frustration and makes it a genuinely cozy, fun experience. Highly recommended!
Does EA launcher suck? Yeah, but the game does not deserve all the bad reviews it gets just for that reason. Me and my gf played the game and finished it in 6 hours and we wanted more. Played on PC, same screen and with controllers and we did not have any troubles, everything went smoothly and loved the story, by the end of it we were both sad to part with our yarns haha. There were some very hard levels, that are OPTIONAL, you can continue and finish the story without them, 10/10 would recommend
