This visual novel really caught my interest with its theme of gliders, along with its passionate, heroic, and youthful music. The common route is very well-executed and managed to keep me engaged throughout. However, one downside is that the choices feel somewhat linear, while the game pushes the characters' romantic relationships forward too quickly and rather awkwardly. This made me feel uncomfortable at times, especially during some of the romance routes. Additionally, you have to download an external restoration patch if you want to experience the game in its entirety, as the original release was cut and poorly translated. Overall, if you want to experience the atmosphere of youth and have a passion for the sky and gliders, I recommend giving this visual novel a try. My rating: 7/10.
This is my third VN experience and I enjoyed it thoroughly. The playtime I have at review (12.8 hours) is how much I played to finish a single route with steady reading. It is worth noting that I did download the external patch for the game from the visual novel database (which restores cut content, and fixes most of the English translations) I think this patch is certainly more of an enhancement to the experience, and that the game would suffer without it. Now, I must admit that this story is very much a SLOW burn. At around hour 5-6 is where it really picks up. That's when some dynamics between the characters really start to show. A core part of the story emphasizes the arduous process of making a glider for the school's soaring club. To me, that premise isn't personally that exciting. With all of that said, the plot therein, is the romance options of the heroines. I read many reviews and most people regard Ageha (your childhood bestfriend) as the worst romance. I have yet to play the other routes of course, but I actually really liked the romance between her and Aoi (You the player). It felt very frustrating, and yet that is the best part of her path. Because, it truly felt like a real world relationship where nothing makes sense and the anxiety and weight of feelings added so much depth to the story. All in all, I'd give it a shot. I really liked this game and intend to try the other routes too. In hindsight, the plot is painfully slow at first, but I would still recommend this game to someone who likes decent visual novels.
I played with a translation patch, im not sure how bad it is without that (IMHHW flight diary seemed fine). personally, i LOVED it! starts good and ends good. I think the art is beautiful and the soundtrack is also amazing. It's a really motivational/inspirational story. although most the events that happen are very unrealistic, it still feels real and applicable to real life. 10/10
This was my first Visual Novel when it was released on Android. I was sad to learn that it got removed from Google Play Store... I'm glad to be able to play it again. 10/10, a really heart warming coming-of-age story, with a lot of funny moments. Hat is the best character in the entire Visual Novel, hands down.
