This game is surreal, uncomfortable, and hostile - and I love it. As bullet hell twin-stick shooters go, it's quite forgiving with long I-frame windows and lots of health to go around, which allows it to focus on its narrative without losing too much between boss fights (which make up the entirety of its combat encounters). I really enjoyed playing around with the wide variety of weaponry, and genuinely cared for the NPCs whose stories were woven through the main character's. At just three hours to clear (for, admittedly, a bullet hell veteran who was only kinda trying), ITTA took its bows while I still loved it - for which I love it even more.
its a pretty interesting bullet hell with some nice lore and a really cool artstyle, but the game does have quite a few bugs; the most frustrating one involving a boss near the start of the game that can teleport to you and damage you instantly. sometimes it feels like its a bit too easy to get lost (especially in the second area of the game), but these are all fairly minor nitpicks that won't ruin the game. if you like bullet hell games then you would most likely enjoy playing this
I don't know if I can say it's worth fifteen dollars, it's a fairly short game for what it is; the first time you play it, everything's hard and it's easy to get lost + the boss fight bullet patterns are hard. You do a second playthrough (like for the no death achievement) and suddenly knowing where all the extra health and weapons are hidden makes it really easy. The hardest bosses are the earliest ones. I wouldn't say that you should damage sponge the bosses, but the moment you get a good weapon (the sword) you are fine. My second run was my No Death Run. The achievements are mostly fine, but for a lot of them are permanently missable because of the game's structure. It's fine because subsequent playthroughs aren't long (bosses are fun but they aren't long, most of the game is wandering around trying to find secrets or trying to get extra health before going to a boss.) That being said, I got this on sale for like two dollars and it was definitely a fun time. I do think it's worth more than 2 dollars just not worth 15, so if it's on sale it's a good price.
