My partner and I got this game as we were looking for a fun little simulator game to play together. I enjoyed this enough to the point where we had our multiplayer save going as well as my own solo career save. Running your own restaurant is fun with just the right amount of chaotic if you decide to put too many dishes on your menu. Always plan and prep ahead, but even then you still might run out of your preps and start panic cooking. There are tons of recipes you can make each with a helpful recipe guide so you can cook or bake the dish correctly. With plenty of food tags (like Kebab, Fast Food, Bakery, Soups, etc.) you won't get lost on what to plate for the day. Each of these food tags also provide bonuses to your restaurant depending on how many of that food tag you have currently on the menu. For example, using my favourite one, is the Bakery food tag. The perk activates when you have (1) or (5) Bakery items plated. At (1), all your dishes will have an extra serving when on the serving tables and at (5), they'll have two extra servings. This means at base your dishes have 4 servings before you need to replate the dish and with the Bakery perk it can be 5 or 6. Career Mode Gameplay - It's a lot of fun. The whole idea is that you're a new chef and you've got a small restaurant from your father. You begin with a small amount of recipes to create and 3 Stores where you can buy ingredients and utensils; many of these items will be locked until you unlock more recipes. Gourmet Chefs - These lot are your "boss battles". Once you've sold a certain amount of dishes that they request, which you can see by looking at their profile on the "Gourmet Chefs" section of your tablet, they'll let you invite them to your restaurant. Once invited, they'll show up the following day and ask you to make them something specific. One of them gives you a choice of 3 mystery boxes, so you won't even know what to make until he gets there, and others want you to use your "intuition" in defeating them. The finale against the Master puts you to the real test to show you can work and cook quickly under the pressure. Bakery DLC - This is a fun little game mode to play when you want a break from Career Mode. You run a little bakery in Paris where you can bake many of the recipes found in Career Mode as well as some exclusives to this mode like Baguettes, Focaccia, Sourdough and more. This mode is a little more involved than Career mode in that you need to directly serve your customers, both with the food & coffee they request as well completing their sale at the register. Multiplayer - This was my initial experience with the game which I shared with my partner. We immediately put a bunch of hours into it on our first session. Our multiplayer save was on Career Mode, so I won't repeat myself here in the experiences of this mode mentioned above. The main difference with Multiplayer mode I experienced was the increase of bugs and glitches. I'll list them below. Bugs - May not be multiplayer exclusive but this is where I ended up encountering them. - Items become unable to be picked up. This was a big issue when we had a fridge full of ingredients that we could no longer use and now had to re-purchase them. Sometimes a reload would fix this. - Duplication bug. Not a huge issue in what happened, since it was mainly with plates which you can't get enough of but still a bug regardless, since now there's just loose plates. - Dishes losing their cook/baked progress and ingredients after a reload. This issue actually caused us to start a brand new save together. My partner mainly focused on doing baked goods, because she could prep a bunch and then leave them in the fridge, especially the cakes and pies which give 8 plating's. So she'd have a bunch fully prepped and baked then we'd come off for the night. Reloading the save later on and every single dish of hers would be "raw" and hovering over it the only ingredient is "Dough". - Placing furniture out-of-bounds. Again, not a huge issue bar the time my partner glitched a plate racl out-of-bounds and our waiters would clean the plates and then go out-of-bounds to return the plates, which meant there was a lot of them "technically not" doing their jobs (waiting tables, retrieving payment, cleaning) and it meant there was more pressure on us do those tasks while still trying to emergency cook dishes. - Everything disappeared after we purchased the bigger restaurant. So, this is intentional. When the new restaurant is purchased, all of your furniture's are placed in your stored and your utensils/loose items (Sauces, mixing bowls, spices, etc.) are placed inside a large box inside the new restaurant at the front door. However, when we started taking things from the big box, after a bunch of items (about 15-20 items) were taken from it, it just became empty. The box itself didn't disappear, as it did for me in my solo save or like the cardboard ones do from your shopping, so we knew that it bugged - we also clearly noticed we were missing a lot of our base products and had to redo our shopping. Overall, I think this is a really fun game. I recommend playing solo because you're less likely to encounter bugs but you may still get some. But I also recommend playing Multiplayer because it means you and others can take a few dishes each from a full menu to maximize your growth early on in the game. Just keep supporting small indie developers like this and politely report bugs, glitches and other issues to them. Don't forget to leave good feedback and improvements that they can make. I look forward to seeing what else may come from this game as it's still in its early days as of me writing this review.

Very, very impressed by the full release update! The dev did a ton of work for this update. New UI, new menu, map rework, new cuisine, events, seasons, a lot of bug fixes and such. The game is very nice to play. Glad to see the devs cared a lot about the game for the game to go into full release like that.

I've been playing this game for a while now. It had a lot of bugs in early access and from what I've seen still has some in 1.0. With that said, I still love this game. It quickly became my favorite restaurant sim because it had all the things I love in one, in depth recipes, restaurant design, story objectives, and serving customers. You even need to beat bosses to unlock new recipes, gadgets, and ingredients. I also love that I can play it alone and zone out or I can invite friends and make it a party. If you like full service restaurant sims this is the best one I've found so far. As long as you can get passed some of the random bugs.

Grab a few good friends — even the ones whose peak cooking skill is making instant spaghetti — and throw them straight into the kitchen. The game offers a solid variety of recipes, a lively culinary setting, and a gameplay loop clearly designed for chaotic co-op fun. Running a kitchen together can be genuinely exciting, especially when everyone has to stay quick, organized, and ready to adapt to the madness of preparing dishes under pressure. Of course, things don’t always run smoothly. Bugs occasionally show up and multiplayer desync can happen, but oddly enough those moments sometimes create the funniest situations during a session. When the kitchen turns into total chaos, it often ends up being part of the fun. What really surprised me is the level of detail and the freedom to design your own restaurant space. You can build a stylish, modern kitchen and even turn it into something like a kebab house. Still, I have to take a few points off for cooking mechanics that can feel frustrating at times and a preparation system that occasionally becomes unnecessarily chaotic. Also, if you take a long break from the game, getting back into the flow isn’t exactly beginner-friendly. Despite its rough edges, it’s a fun multiplayer cooking simulator that shines most when played with friends. 🍳7/10🌯

Possibly the single greatest game ever created. Kebab Chefs is an artistic masterpiece which offers extensive insight into the human condition and poses some truly thought provoking questions, such as: Is it really ok for my restaurant to exclusively serve food that I made the night before and microwaved today to serve it again? The answer to such questions lies within your heart.
