Killer is Dead is a game I played quite a bit on the PS3, so I remember it fairly well. I remember having high expectations, and while it delivers a unique and stylish experience, it doesn’t fully reach its potential. It achieve's a bold visual style and surreal, dreamlike atmosphere. The story can be confusing at times, but that actually adds to the game’s quirky charm rather than detracting from it. The soundtrack and art design work together to create a distinct, almost hypnotic world that you don’t often see in action games. The seducing segments are weird but what else do you expect from Suda. Where it falls short is in the gameplay. The camera can be frustrating, and movement sometimes feels stiff or “orthopedic.” Combat, while varied with a surprising number of attack options and weapons, can become repetitive over time because of this. Even so, there’s a certain rhythm to the fights that can be satisfying once you get used to it. If you go in expecting something on the level of Devil May Cry or Bayonetta, you might be disappointed. But if you approach it as a stylish, experimental action game with a unique world and personality, there’s a lot to enjoy. Its creativity, its bold art direction, and the fun of experimenting with different combat combos has me enthralled from time to time, even if it doesn’t quite stick the landing mechanically. It’s an offbeat, memorable experience that stands out for its style, story, and atmosphere, even if it doesn’t match the technical polish of the top tier action games of its era.

Well, I've seen too many negative reviews about this game that says it constantly crashes, I'm wondering if I played another version of the game because i didn't have a single crash in story mode. The only crash I had was in Koharu's mission, I just had to cap the fps to 30 and played the mission without any problem. The game is really good, I loved the art style and the gameplay.

had this in my back log for few years and finally had the time to sit down and play it and all i gotta say is the camera sucks but everything is so cool the story kinda hard to understand in the first half but i started to understand by the 4th mission. combo is pretty good and flashy need less to say cop when on sale and also, very short game beat it in one sitting final boss was alright

I'd say it's a 10/10 for me. Perfectly absurd story loving it so far. You just need to change the entry in KidEngine.ini file then the crashes should be fixed.
