If you've ever played shareware stuff like "Castle of the Winds," messed around with old operating systems, or just enjoyed a lo-fi grand fantasy this is a fun and relaxing game to play. At least until you run into enemies that open multiple popups and your aging, weak reflexes can't carry you through. The music is largely made by Landon Podbielski of Duck Game and you should buy both this and Duck Game. Duck Game is life, Duck Game is love.

I enjoy this game in small bursts. It's pretty linear for a roguelike imo. There's not a lot to this game content wise, you'll find yourself replaying content after the first run. It's lacking on meta upgrades (ones that persist between runs). I can actually list them all; Starting Gifts: +6 Health points (can be upgraded to +10 through a gem purchase) +2 Magic points (can be upgraded to +4 through a gem purchase) +20 Gold (can be upgraded to +40 through a gem purchase) Dagger Shield Sword Mastery Wand Mastery Book Of Skill Lucky Coin Master Key Large Backpack Ring of Pain Hotkeys: C for Character Screen B for Main Bag S for Status Screen Esc for closing all closable screens Tab to cycle through screens Appearance: Theme Yellow Theme Pink bone Cursor Arrow Cursor Gauntlet cursor Magic wand cursor demon hand cursor crystal cursor star cursor gold cursor gold sword cursor fancy font comic font gibberish font There was a lot of potential here but frankly the game is good for maybe one or two playthroughs. It's an interesting premise but just plays like a demo. Definitely wait for a sale.

Started playing this game when it first came out when my brother and I shared an account and went for hours on different characters. Made a new steam account and this was one of the first games I got. I love playing every minute of this game since it's a huge change of pace and style from the standard AAA fps. The replayability is perfect. Each character you make is an opportunity to unlock new character types for your next run, and when you either die/finish your run, you can take 1 item to give to your next hero (or villain, to each their own). There's tons of ways to alter your playstyle. Inventory management and organization is especially key. Being overwhelmed by your own tabs instead of the enemies is not the way you wanna go out. There's ton more to talk about on the game in terms of content but you can browse around other reviews for that. Can't recommend it enough. 10/10 but would love a spontaneous update every now and then to add some new items for us players who have dug very deep into the game :)

An old-school rpg with a new twist. Very re-playable: I'm setting this down for now but have plans to come back to it. Also the original developer got the rights back, so play on!
