This is soothing to the point that I leave it on just to enjoy the sounds. 8's "Breeding Formula" guide helped me get the hang of the basics of the game and I now have fun finding all the different colored fish and creating a beautiful koi pond filled with my favorite color and pattern combinations.

I love all my fishys. They bring me incomprehensible joy. The way they move enraptures me. A feeling I can only describe as ethereal excitement envelops me at the sight of a newly colored fish to add to my collection. Do note that at the time of writing this I have yet to complete the collection by one color. However, although it is unlikely, I do hope at some point they add more colors to collect, maybe seasonal event patterns?

Very cute and relaxing game. I just completed the book for the main storyline after about 9 hours, and it was worth every second. I mostly played it when I was stressed and needed something slow-paced but required a bit of planning to move on to the next step. Plus, it's beautiful to just watch the fish you've bred swim around.

These 4 hours I played was all it took to complete the game and the breeding book. I wouldn't say that I would or would not recommend the game, it's nice for what it is, but there's just a very limited experience you can get out of it. I expected to have to do more with tricolor koi and patterns, yet after the last, secret color, the book just ends, giving you free reign and pages to breed what you liked. Unlocking the next level was THE point for me, so this is probably all the gameplay I'm going to get out of this. It's a nice and chill game with its nature sounds and fun breeding mechanics, but I see so much more potential where it could've gone.
