Short and spooky. Enjoyed the little scares here and there and the artstyle made it extremely charming, was just hoping for more interactions or secrets since the computer played a huge part in everything. Other than that, for someone as jumpy as me this was definitely a treat.
Last Report is an Indie, Point and Click, Horror game. Play as a park ranger, who's job is to review and submit reports about the ongoings in the park. Sounds simple, What could go wrong? Before I begin I wanted to say I'm not really into Horror games that much. I have never been one for getting spooked, however, this game did catch my attention for how interesting it looked. So I wanted to give it a try and I must say, It was definitely a good game. The Story was neat, and it did creep me out a few times, but nevertheless, it was still a good story. As of writing this review too, there are Three endings to the game now after the most recent update. Each giving more lore to the overall story. The Gameplay in this game was interesting. Review the reports from the cameras around the park, match the incident to the picture and text given and submit. Rather simple, until the game goes on and then things will get, weird. Strange sightings will turn up, noises will begin to be heard, outages will occur at certain points in the story, and the computer will mess with you from time to time. A lot of fun! Along with this, the newest update does bring with it more content for the later portions of the game in terms of events, files, and scary stuff to mess with your heart. There are some puzzles in this game as well. Hidden in the story to keep you on your toes if you are aiming for a certain ending. The puzzles aren't too hard to solve, but if you were like me, you may miss one or two of them on your first playthrough of this game. Which isn't terrible, but can be a little frustrating if you were aiming for a specific ending. I will mention this too, there is a small soundtrack for the endings of this game as well that were pretty nice to listen to. I genuinely enjoyed this game, despite getting jump scared so bad at times. That being said though, I'd still recommend this game to anyone who does enjoy Horror/Puzzle games.
