Good horror does not need triple A graphics or huge budgets and this game is a testimony to that. I love the creepy uneasy feeling this game gives 100% worth it. Very unique and interesting story. Only downside I can think of there is only one save file for each chapter so multiple playthroughs for some of the endings but that fine. Buy the game you won't regret it :) (ps check the game files after you finished it)
This game is about having FAITH and determination. The controls are simple. I play this game entirely with my left hand while my right hand supports my chin for maximum introspection. For the sound, I recommend a good set of headphones for maximum fidelity. I use a very affordable Audio-Technica ATH-M50x personally. Most notably, and while you are hardening your faith through Chapter 1, this provides adequate reproduction for the full range of the 8bit rendition of Ludwig van Beethoven's Op. 27 No. 2, Sonata quasi una fantasia "Moonlight Sonata." Whereby you are free to consider the whinges and complaints of the faithless, arm-crossed quitters leaving negative reviews: You will notice 99% of those reviews have about an hour playtime. This is mostly a faith issue/skill issue. Yes I did die a few times. And then, I beat the Final Boss of Chapter 2 on the first attempt. I will soon begin Chapter 3. And should I lose my faith and change this to a negative review, understand that it will then not be the same man of faith who leaves this review, here, now. In nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti.
FAITH is my favorite video game. The design, the lore, the characters, and the soundtrack together create a one-of-a-kind experience. One of the few games I've played where I actually wanted to go back and find all the secrets. Plus, as a Catholic, I'm super invested in helping Fr. Ward exorcise those blasted demons. 9.85/10 because I wish there were 100 more hours of content. Gary Loves You.
Alright, I have basically done everything this game has to offer besides lantern and flashlight mode, got all endings. And all I have to say, what a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ treat this game was. The bosses are brutally difficult sometimes but the struggle is part of the experience. The main standouts for me are definitely the rotoscoped animation and the music (banger final boss theme.) I would recommend this game to anyone that likes horror and doesn't mind dying A lot. GARY LOVES YOU
