They told me that I must not play the Steam version. But their warning was lost as I slipped into the crash realm, too weak to maintain the game's functioning form, despite all the fixes that I had applied... And there, waiting for me as always, was Soul Reaver 2 - the wraith-game... And I realized that I could never escape my terrible destiny... I had merely postponed it. History abhors running old PC ports on modern hardware.

If you want to play this game on Steam Deck you need to change the Proton version to 5-10. It kept crashing after the cutscene with Kain in the Wiliam's tomb before I did that.

So many years we wait for any life sign from the series... Guys, the Copium Tanks are finally emptied and the coin landed on it's edge. We are back.

With mods this game is running phenomenal. BETTER than the original in some cases. SOME cases. Without mods, this game is broken. Its a mess and horrible port. Modding is Easy luckily. So I would say, WORTH IT, because the modders made it so easy for us! Shout out to them, hopefully a remaster soon
