Legends of Dragaea: Idle Dungeons is exactly what it says on the label. It's an idle dungeon crawler, with autobattles, skill levels, and loads and loads of loot. If you have played the Prelude demo (which I HIGHLY recommend if you have any interest in this game at all) then you know the rough idea of the game. For those who haven't I'll give a quick rundown. At the beginning of the game you create a character from a handful of races. Each race has different race-exclusive abilites, and extra affinities for certain skills. Skills in this game are darn near everything, they're your weapon types, magic types, armor type, item effectiveness, etc. So while you're not at all hard-locked into a class archetype based on your race, you will have a harder time raising skill levels for skills you don't have racial affinity for. So if you choose a race that's good with katanas but bad with spears for example, you could potentially be leveling up your katana skills 50% faster and your spear skills half as quickly. So your race is important, but it's not the end-all be-all. Once you create your character and get into the game, you've got an overview of a town, and your dungeon choices. The town is what you'd expect, it has shops, a blacksmith, a tavern, and a few other things. You also have a guild which you "manage" (in heavy quotation marks for a reason). You can upgrade every individual building with materials and coins, which you get by going through dungeons. Dungeons are autocrawler/autobattler through and through, you can create a party of up to 3 characters to explore, and they use their active skills automatically. As you use active skills, they level up their respective passive skills. You can also equip items such as potions and lockpicks, which will be used automatically to heal, revive your party members, lockpick chests, all that good stuff! You also loot equipment which has levels and tiers, both of which make them stronger as those numbers get higher. They can also have bonus effects based on rarity, such as increasing your melee speed. giving you more experience, yet another etc etc because there are a *ton* of bonuses. And really, that's basically it! As I said at the beginning, the game is what you get on the label. It's very straightforward, but the way that character builds unfold between passive and active skills, equipment quality, bonus effects, item usage, is all really fun! I am proud to have gotten all achievements in this game, and to have supported the dev. If you're at all interested in anything I just wrote, give that Prelude demo a try! It's absolutely worth your time. And if you liked the Prelude, then I HIGHLY recommend purchasing the game, it's more of what the Prelude has to offer in every single way. Plus the visuals are gorgeous and the music is top-notch, I love this game to pieces. I think Legends of Dragaea is solidly the best idle game I've ever played as someone who has been playing since Cookie Clicker first launched on browser. Massive recommendations from me!

Idle game? Yes and no. It's more like an auto battler with management. But you have to idle the dungeons and let it do it's thing. I really like the old school Doom style dungeon crawling that you see.

A fairly easy to get into idler, not a whole lot of overbearing mechanics, and no scientific notation annoyance on numbers going past observable atoms in the universe what's here is fairly tame and grounded, if you've played idlers before, it'll scratch an itch for a few hundred hours for sure, if you've not played an idler before and were looking to try one out, this would be an alright starting point. Dev's seem to be actively listening to the community and updating weekly.

Idle game I can't help but sit and watch no matter what LOL Game 99~%'d in roughly 30 hours combined from demo and full version. Getting a character to level 1000 for the final achievement is just a matter of time, all content is complete. I think you can really stretch your play time on this is you mess with the multiple difficulty sliders upon starting your game, I played on the recommended "normal" settings and I never really felt roadblocked. Never felt like I needed to change my strategy at all going from dungeon to dungeon. I could pretty much clear every dungeon first try and then immediately move to the boss. Going from the standard dungeon 3 man setup to the 9 man boss parties was really cool in concept but on the normal difficulty I had to invest 0 time in my 6 other party members. Main gripes are I don't think gear really felt interesting outside of like 1-3 unique items. Once you have maxed out upgrade building gear just kinda feels like administrative work, farm the materials and put the 5 stats you want in every piece. Would have liked to see highest tier gear have things like augments for specific abilities/perks. Doesn't really feel like weapon choices matter much either, enemies don't have any resistances like slash/blunt/pierce/elemental outside of overall damage taken down so I could have all 9 party members with the same weapon if I wanted. My main 3 man party was 1 damage dealer and then 2 people basically playing buff the president while he 1 taps everything. There's a unique dagger and a unique katana that have their own fun little gimmicks, but building around them feels more like something you do if you really enjoyed tinkering with funny builds and "optional" My other main complaint is lack of clarity of information during fights. if I want to know how much damage someone is doing I have to pause the fight, open up the chat log and scroll through it. It's hard to parse whether abilities are potentially not doing what I want or compare damage output. Would like to see multi-hit moves get condensed in the chat log w/ option to expand and see what each individual hit did. When 10 hit moves are procing multiple times and my chat log is 30 lines of ___ used _____ for X Damage it makes this even less easy to read. Lastly, I really don't know what the point of "elite" mobs are? I never felt incentivized to spend my dungeon exp on boost elite chance up as it wasn't really clear what they offered. Didn't seem like drops were better, they don't have their own unique entry in bestiary, and they don't feel rewarding to spend points in increasing their encounter rate vs just doing more drop rate

Simple concept. Well executed. Free demo that illustrates exactly what to expect should you buy it. More than fair price for the content. Met and exceeded expectations. It is a game that is meant to be played for fun. Those are rare.
