Basically a kid friendly, simple version of super smash bros. One button to attack and the movement keys and dash buttons and that's it. Also easy to get 100% steam achievements. Because its lego you can customise your figs, their weapons, etc.

Got this on a whim because my daughter wanted to play some Lego games what a blast we were beating each other up then decided to go whoop people as a buff mermaid lady. its a fun game.

I bought this game less than 24 hours ago and in the time since have already played 3.2 hrs worth of it. I am convinced this game is bloody brilliant, not only is there a ton of costume customisation there is also weapons and power ups to make your ultimate brawler. Yes, the game is similar to Super Smash Bros in a sense but it takes it's own spin on it and is it's own thing not just a Smash Clone. There is a large variety of maps spanning several Lego themes from pirates to monkey kid to Ninjago (4 times over, lol). The game also give a sense of progression being able to unlock new items just by playing and selecting which theme you'd like to receive it from as well as exclusive items to whatever event I'm sure they got running. I found no matter what mode I was playing I was having fun whether I was winning or not and I'm sure it'll be a ball to play with mates. As of 3/10/2024 the game is at a 80% discount down to $2.90 until the 15/10/2024. Take a chance and give the game a go I'm sure you'll love it. ☺☺☺☺☺☺ I got to play as the Indominus rex ☺☺☺☺☺

The overall gameplay loop is pretty fun but after a few rounds it does get a little old. I only really 100% this because of my journey to 100% every LEGO game, so if it wasn't for that I wouldn't have played it for as long as I did. If you just want a casual competitive experience (that's basically what this is) than play for an hour or two every once in a while. 6/10
