The only reason why this gets a "yes" is because even a mediocre Lego game tends to be better than most other games out there. And this is mediocre at best. Complacency breeds laziness, and I feel that sums this game up quite nicely. It's not that the game is bad. It does the job it sets out to do, but it does it in rather thoughtless ways. The missions tell the story of the movies. The first seven are taken from the first Marvel's Avengers movie. At this point, three side levels open up, reflecting Iron Man 3, Thor 2, and Captain America 2. The final 5 levels represent Avengers: Age of Ultron. As you can see, the balance is a bit lopsided here. The focus, of course, is on Avengers, yet playing through the story mode you miss three of the levels entirely and have to pick them up yourself after. The levels are generally lengthy, broken into three sections. Each one has the usual items to find, the 10 minikit pieces, the red brick, three character tokens, and one Stan Lee cameo. So far, so good. The issues however arise when you see just how much content the game expects outside the levels. There are hub worlds. Some of them do not even come up in the story at all, you have to travel to them separately on your own. Though all but one are mostly side ventures. They do have missions and collectables, but only a handful. Then there is Manhattan. A massive open world, full of quests and random little puzzles for gold bricks. Over a hundred of them. Your vehicles are mostly here, as are many of the characters. When you've beaten the 12 levels of the standard campaign, you unlock the ability to switch characters at any time, which renders a lot of the puzzles moot. In fact, just having access to a handful of characters can render most of the puzzles moot, as characters the fly trivialize any of the gymnastic tests, for example. It becomes just a checklist of "go here, do thing, get reward, go to next point", which isn't unlike other Lego games but it's excessive here. Doubly so with some quests that only activate after other quests have been finished, such as the Stan Lee cameos, which will have you running back and forth across the giant map when each one unlocks another in a far off area. Some of the quest givers, Agent Carter in particular, are just as bad. Many of the characters are c-listers at best, only included to fill slots because this game is firmly in Disney's "Petty" period. There is no trace of anything related to X-Men, or Fantastic Four, Ghost Rider, or any property who's movie rights weren't owned in total by Disney themselves. The single exception being that there are Spider-Man characters available in a DLC bundle that had to have been conceived of after Sony and Disney struck the deal to allow Spider-Man into the MCU. Even then, you can see that he was likely meant to be in the game, as Stan Lee, when unlocked, has web swinging as a mode of locomotion - the only character in the base game to do so. The minikits also are exclusively just comic covers this time out, as opposed to previous games where you got to see small models being built with each piece. The power distribution is also questionable, with one power in particular being limited to two characters, one of whom you may not think of. Ice, which is needed for a couple puzzles in the game, is the near exclusive tool of Loki, even though other characters (such as Cloud 9) look like they should be able to use it. Even the reward at the very end for getting all 250 of the gold bricks - the stud fountain (hidden in Avengers Tower) is quite lackluster this time out. That is not to say the game is all negatives. This is a positive recommendation, after all. The gameplay is solid (though there are bugs you can experience that will make you restart levels to obtain all the items). I dislike the use of voice lines from the movies, would rather they only use physical and visual comedy like the early games, but that's just a matter of personal preference. There is a wide variety of characters to choose from, even if you've never heard of most of them. The levels are large with plenty to do, to the point of being a bit too chaotic for my tastes at times. There's a few points where even the freeplay gets cut a bit short as I'm looking for things due to the story scenes. One nice touch, though I couldn't confirm how much actually chaged during the game, is the Avengers Tower in the Manhattan hub has several references of things you experience in the game, such as the Hulk Selfie wall. But it's an area I didn't visit until I'd already completed the game. And that there is one of the big problems, missed potential. Because it has you in the Manhattan hub for so long, but there's nothing to really DO except running around and collect things. There's the vehicles to collect that can ONLY be used in the hubs which defeats the purpose especially in a game where you have super speed characters and characters that can fly. It just seems like a waste. The illusion that there's content when it's just tacked on with no purpose. Haphazardly slapped together, duct taped to the sides of the game to bulk it out and make it seem like there's more to do than there really is. Filler content. Laziness. It's a Lego game. You'll have fun. If you go for completion it'll take ~35 hours, 40 if you have the DLC. The DLC levels are shorter, but some have some decent twists to them. Not all are based on movies either, so that's a plus. I can only recommend this one on sale, especially when there's so many other much better Lego games out there. This is more "when you've most of the others". Not the worst of the batch, it's no Hobbit, or Pirates of the Caribbean, or Indiana Jones 2. But it's no Star Wars III, or Harry Potter, or Lord of the Rings either. It's mediocre. Because by this point the template was set, and there was no need to do anything but the bare minimum, then tack on superfluous extras to pretend you did something meaningful.

I've already played this game before on videogame, but I had to buy it on steam too just to do the 100%. Summarizing this game is so cool and managed to represent the Avenger's movies so well, not only with the characters but also with the levels. It is 10/10 game!

Awesome Game ! *** If anyone is having a problem with "crashing to desktop" after making a selection at the menu, maybe I can help. - You're going to need to delete "all" the contents of the games assets folder that were created the first time you started the game. -----------------------Instructions----------------------- - Use your File Explorer to go to your "C: drive". (installation drive not important) - First, click the "View" button near the top of your screen, then "Show", then click "Hidden Items. This will make the files visible. - Now navigate to "Users", then your "user name" folder, then "AppData", "Roaming", "Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment", "LEGO MARVEL's Avengers", "GUI3", and last open "ASSETS". Now just delete everything inside and you're done. - You may want to turn "Hidden Items" back off so no one accidentally deletes anything important. I hope this helps you ! I made the Developers aware of the fix. Enjoy the game and have a good one ! ~Mu (The path should look like this - "C:\Users\"yourusername"\AppData\Roaming\Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment\LEGO MARVEL's Avengers\GUI3\ASSETS") EDIT: I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for liking and commenting. You guy's are wonderful !

Great game had it when i had a 3DS only issue with this game is that when you start playing after you download it you need to click and hold windows and R and type %appdata% in the box that shows up, than go to Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Than go to LEGO Marvel's Avengers, one-cs you get in there you delete file GUI3. I have to do it every time I play but its better that having to uninstall it again.
