bought this game in early 2015 and have played it ever since. I've played over 1,000 hrs on this game and i would say it is worth the wasted time of my life i mean ive already beaten it like 7-8 times already and im probably gonna waste another 9,000 or more hours playing it but ive got a long time till then. anyways 10/10 gameplay would play again if memory wiped

I played LEGO Batman 3 mainly for nostalgia and fun. I finished the story and did a few extra achievements here and there, and I can genuinely say the story kept me engaged the whole time. The game makes great use of a large cast of DC characters, and seeing so many familiar faces is one of its strongest points. Character designs are well done, the suits look great, and visually the game still holds up well for its age. Gameplay The gameplay is extremely repetitive and very button-mashy. Boss fights especially drag, since you end up repeating the same cycle two or three times in every major fight. The puzzles are mixed. Some are fun, some are mildly annoying, none are truly difficult, which makes sense considering this is clearly a kid-friendly LEGO title. Level design is fairly creative and does not feel copy-paste. However, a big downside is that many characters share similar suit abilities, and during missions where multiple characters are together, you often only need one of them for the entire level. That really hurts the sense of variety. Characters and Humor Flash is easily the standout character. He is funny, useful, and the most fun to play. Batman and Robin were also great and their suits looked very well designed. On the other hand, Wonder Woman’s personality in this game was frustrating and Cyborg’s constant paranoia joke got annoying quickly. The humor overall is family-friendly and lighthearted. It is not laugh-out-loud funny, but it did put a smile on my face a few times. It is more wholesome than hilarious. Performance and Presentation I had one crash but no major bugs otherwise. Graphics still look surprisingly good for when the game was released. Music and visuals do their job well enough and support the atmosphere. Final Thoughts I enjoyed finishing the game, but mostly because of nostalgia, charm, and characters rather than the gameplay itself. If you like LEGO games, this is worth picking up, but only when it is discounted. It is not worth full price today unless you are a big fan. Score: 6/10 Recommendation: Buy it on sale and enjoy it for what it is.

Probably my pick for favorite Lego game. It's not the best one objectively, but I had an absolute blast playing it. It can get pretty buggy, requiring a reset or two, but nothing major, and I was able to 100% without feeling fatigued. Its also my favorite because it's got Daffy Duck, and that alone is more than worth the price of admission imo.
