As the name suggests, the LEGO Star Wars game copies the plot of the last film The Force Awakens. The developers have cut out the best from it, and translated it with feeling into a much more humorous presentation. It all starts with a reference to the sixth episode, but then you will look at the planet Jakku to embark on the adventure of Rey and Finn, whose goal is to protect the cute round droid BB-8, and most importantly the important information he has. If you have seen the film, you certainly know what it is about. The game material has been approved directly by Lucasfilm and Disney. You will witness how Han Solo and Chewie catch four monsters with tentacles that you certainly know from the film, or how C3PO came to his red hand, or how Poe saves Admiral Ackbar. LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens has ten main chapters plus several side episodes that you can unlock for gold bars. The playing time is definitely not small, my playing time was around fifteen hours, moreover, after finishing the game you can return to individual levels, solve other puzzles with other characters, or collect hidden bricks and other bonuses, which will unlock additional content. There are also more open areas with other activities that connect individual episodes, but compared to previous LEGO games they are not so extensive, they are rather linear, but I honestly didn't mind that much, because in this way the developers don't distract from the main thing during the first play. Anyway, you can return to these levels at any time. The game is quite a fun platformer, especially if you play in cooperation with a friend, which offers both a nice and sophisticated design, nice visuals, ingenious puzzles that are a joy to complete, a number of side missions and a lot of diverse characters. 15%

Oh boy the sequels. Everyones favorite. To be honest, this was not a bad lego game. Based entirely on the 7th movie, the story felt stretched out to pass as a full priced game. The missions were fine, just not memorable. The only memorable missions were the non canon story missions. The voice lines were ripped from the movies and did not sound good in the game. The open world felt bland, especially Jakku. I encountered a lot of bugs during my playthrough that made me switch to M/K for certain sections and even change my resolution to not have BB-8 glitch out of the map softlocking you. If you really enjoy TFW, just play skywalker saga. 7/10

Is it weird that this has aged better than the movie? Its a another fun Lego adaptation of a film.

Overall, I would recommend getting LEGO® STAR WARS™: The Force Awakens if you're interested in playing it. It's still an enjoyable game even in 2025 after nearly nine years since its original release date. I would definitely take advantage of when this game goes on sale and get the Deluxe Edition or the Galactic Edition bundle with LEGO® Star Wars™: The Skywalker Saga. If you're someone that wants to get all of the game's achievements, you need the Season Pass plus The Phantom Limb Level Pack since a few achievements depend on the extra levels added from the DLCs (As of this review, The Phantom Limb Level Pack isn't included in the Season Pass/Deluxe Edition). Going into the game with no expectations, the graphics of its time look nice, the story is okay but still fun. It includes bits of humor as you play and I would say it's great for all audiences. There's multiple levels, puzzles, and collectibles throughout the game as such for any LEGO Video Game. Plus a multitude of characters with different abilities you can choose from and play. Depending on your play style, you can expect between 20 - 50 hours of gameplay. Somethings I would take note of... The game has clunky PC controls so I recommend playing this game with a controller. Also, depending on your hardware, the game may have some instability issues such as frame drops during heavy effect sequences or even randomly crash. I recommend checking if you meet the system requirements for this game plus experiment with the in-game settings for the best possible experience. Lastly, this may help but from my experience, limiting the frame rate of the game to just 60hz helped prevent frame drops and crashes. That's all, have fun! :D - Mushmistle

It's a good game. The graphics are nice, and the gameplay is varied and quite fun. It has voice acting, which feels a bit uncanny in this game. My only gripe is that the side content is just awful; everything is an uninspired and repetitive mess.
