Liz ~The Tower and the Grimoire is an alright H-Game. It can be fully completed in 5-6 hours. The main characters Liz and her master Aisha are cute. The CG's overall are good but could have offered more variations, and there is too few Aisha scenes in my opinion. I think the most frustrating part for me was the grind aspect of the game, gathering item for the villagers, and the pass point system to access the different parts of the town. It becomes a bit annoying to rewatch the same scenes over and over again just to reach another level of corruption or to reach the desired number of points for the next pass. Helping the villagers in the city with their item request is not the most fun thing to do in the game. Each Villager will have three item requests, and you will have to remember the item they want and their location because there is no way to track ingame your progression with the villagers requests. The dungeon part of the game could have been implemented better, it's not very engaging or fun since you just walk around continuously losing HP & MP and instakilling every monster you touch. Looting items from the maze like corridors of the dungeon to get special items drops while your HP is being drained does the search for specific item drops annoying. Replaying certain parts of the dungeon to farm a specific item drop to craft the desired item for the villagers is also annoying. The dungeon Bosses at the end of each dungeon level and the End boss are not very challenging.

Curse of Kubel, but I'm actually happy with my experience here. The turn-based combat advertisement is only technically correct as (while I have not yet beat the game) only what is effectively the prologue to this game has the turn-based combat. The rest of the combat is much more "real time" with insta-kill mechanic so long as you have the mana thus my comparison to Curse of Kubel (although this one doesn't overwhelm you with enemies like Curse does). The health drain applies a bit of pressure early game, but it also doesn't feel unfair. I even had a bit of fun with the first boss fight as simple as it was. I think the CGs are solid. They are completely still-frame, but given that context I think they are solid compared to competitors. Liz is up there in my top 5 female h-game protags as far as looks goes. She's one of those confident types where you might want to take her down a peg which if that's your thing can enhance the corruption for you. The pacing feels pretty good as well, although you can pretty quickly unlock the max level if you're dedicated. I do think this is worth the asking price and even more worth at any discount that might go on.

Good slow corruption game with plenty of scenes and the combat doesn't get too in the way.
