Very much like the first one, if you enjoyed that then you will enjoy this, in essence just a continuation of the story with some minor improvements to mechanics. Once again, good job devs, enjoyed this one also, will be watching what Circle Poison do next.

Yup, this game is a 6 out of 10 for me. A VERY bland retro-styled JRPG if you play the vanilla version. H scenes are nothing I haven't already seen before too, granted, since this game is one of Kagura Games's older releases... Party members are useless since they can't break the level 30 limit and now you have to waste an extra turn to break free from certain status abnormalities (most of which involves panty shots of the protagonist). Good thing about this game is that you can carry over your erotic 'progress' from the first game since in the prequel, I wasted no time in getting that shame meter to reach the negative range. I never liked seeing submissive female protagonists when it comes to sex scenes. Well, complain all I must, this game is just one of many older releases from Kagura Games. Hopefully, I can find a game from this developer where the female protagonist isn't some straight laced, submissive damsel in distress type but an aggressive one where she could easily turn the tables on her would be rapists by reverse raping them to death instead. EDIT : I'm changing the score to a 5/10 now that I played further into the story. In other words, this WHOLE disaster thing could be averted if the protagonist in the first game just doubled back to retrieve the mute girl named Satie from prison after getting the key (I ACTUALLY tried that too) but nope, the stupid script demands that the protagonist to remain a stupid dum dum. The need to ALWAYS change your defensive setup to prevent contextual status abnormalities that the enemy grunts spam to draw out the fight longer than necessary is also the deciding factor for my new score for this game.

I'll keep this short and talk about the new features. As for the old ones, they still apply here and you can check my Slave's Sword 1 review for my thoughts on those. The game starts up a few minutes after the events of SS1 and leads into a lengthy journey across the whole kingdom with multiple new elements. First off the combat basics, there are a lot more spells, skills, and items to collect. They've now implemented a party system so you won't be fighting 1 v EVERYONE like last time. The level limit is double that of the first game as well as the boss battles. It has a wide variety of standard enemies as well as some of the old ones. This includes new sex scenes for each of the old and new enemies you lose to.he game has a variety of sex scenes but there isn't an indicator of where or how to unlock them so you'll have to do a lot of exploring. Keep in mind, the game has a variety of sex scenes but there isn't an indicator of where or how to unlock them so you'll have to do a lot of exploring (like the first game). That is much more of a detriment this time because the map is HUGE and you'll be doing a lot of back tracking. There is an item you will unlock to fast travel but it only takes you to (a location I won't spoil) . Overall, if you like the first you'll like this one. I'll give it a 8/10. They saw some flaws and improved upon what was lacking so good job on them.

First of all, as with the first game, MAKE SURE this is a game that appeals to your interests before jumping in. This is an RPG Maker title with a fully-voiced heroine and an incredible number of well-illustrated scenes that appeal to a specific niche. Those are the reasons you play this game. If you liked the first title, I would thoroughly recommend the second. Slave's Sword 2 picks up and concludes the first game's plot and puts a greater emphasis on narrative than the first, though it covers this extra ground by offering a more linear experience - which could be a plus or a minus depending on your preferences. I liked the side mission structure of the first game (to a point) but I feel this more streamlined design fits the more action-packed story this time around. Luna is still an incredibly resilient badass, regardless of almost anything the game throws at her, which is seriously awesome and refreshing to see. The music has been improved noticeably in both quality and variety, which I found to be a real treat, and there are a greater number of more varied areas to experience as you plow through Maldonia helping Luna battle her way to justice. There are even some new game mechanics, including some small but interesting twists to combat that involve defending yourself against a long list of status effects (which all actually have accompanying battle art). Losing battles (aside from boss encounters) doesn't result in a game over, and rather returns you to the field with full health, and beating the game any way (there are multiple endings) unlocks everything, so there's little risk in playing the way you want. I'd still advise keeping a few routinely updated save files, just in case, especially for those boss/story fights, since they could really set you back if you never save. I've heard Circle Poison is working on some sort of Gaiden title for the Slave's Sword series, so I'm hoping that will make its way through Kagura into English at some point, along with any other future titles for the group!

Like the first, if you are a non-vanilla fans, this is for you. (Look around for the patch yourself) You can transfer your save file from the first game like Mass Effect, carrying over all the stats and +3 equipments (although enemies are also leveled up as a response). Good thing is, unlike the first, if you deliberately make yourself defeated by an enemy (IYKWIM :P), you don't end up with 1 HP but full HP, so no healing items are wasted. The only thing that I want to complain about is that the fact that the player character has a sister, yet she doesn't get to do anything (again, IYKWIM), not even voiced! That's just a shame...
