Honestly just a sorry excuse of a remake if im being honest coming from someone that adores the original, doesn't look much better, play any different and the licensed music being gone **** but still fun at its core of being the original because the original is so damn good but just lesser version in every way, will just pull out the original if I want to play it again
If it bleeds, I can kill it! Lollipop Chainsaw is a unique PS3 classic that has its own personality. Everything about it radiates chaotic, unhinged energy, and personally, I am so into it. Having replayed this gem for the third time now, it continues to bring me joy. There isn’t much to say regarding the story since it’s short and doesn’t take itself seriously. As shown in the attached screenshots, I’m using a mod that features Juliet's hair from the intro, which I find lovely and cute. I'm hopeful that the developers will consider adding features that let us switch between hairstyles. A Unique PS3 Classic It's my first time playing this PlayStation 3 classic. Thank you to DRAGAMI games for bringing it to PC. I hope all old classic games can make their way to PC someday. Gameplay What can I say, it's one of the most unique games of its generation, and it's really fun. The playtime is perfect; a little bit longer would have been boring. The mechanics on hand are very fun to play with and do various combos, and you unlock more moves as you progress through the game. The gameplay is satisfying and overall fun. The bosses are all unique theme and design wise, but I can't say they are fun to play against. There are cool little level design ideas in the game, nothing unique, but at least they added some variety. Story and Characters The story doesn't take itself seriously, so it doesn't waste our time with it. But I enjoyed the ridiculous storytelling here. The dialogue between Juliet and Nick is entertaining. To Conclude Even though it's not an amazing or innovative game, Lollipop Chainsaw still is one of the most original games with its own personality. I still had quite a fun even 14 years after its release. We definitely need more games like Lollipop Chainsaw. I would typically prefer the OG Lollipop Chainsaw for several reasons, such as the coloring, music, aesthetic, etc. However, this is a far more accessible version of the game, with lots of great additions like new clothing options, easier mechanics, and an overall experience that is easier to approach. This is a great game to pick up for anyone new to the hack-and-slash genre or unfamiliar with its gameplay style.
