"If there was a robot that could laugh, cry, and smile... does it have a soul?" Spoiler free review! I picked up Lucy -The Eternity She Wished For- during Steam's Visual Novel Fest not really knowing what to expect. It looked interesting, so I thought "Why not?" by the time I finished it, I was just sitting there, staring at the screen, trying to process what I just experienced. This game really got to me. It’s one of those VNs that make you think about things differently about emotions, about AI, and about what it means to feel. I didn’t expect to get this attached to Lucy, but here I am, still thinking about her even after finishing the game. Here's a quick TL;DR for those who don’t feel like reading the whole review: Lucy -The Eternity She Wished For- is a short but emotional VN that hits hard. It’s about a boy who finds an old, abandoned android, but instead of acting like a typical machine, she’s way too lifelike. The story starts off simple but slowly becomes something much more meaningful. The music, the atmosphere, and Lucy herself all come together to create a really touching experience. If you like emotional stories that make you think, this one is 100% worth playing. Plot The story is set in a future where androids are common, but people see them as nothing more than tools. The protagonist doesn’t care much about them either—until he finds Lucy, an android that’s way too expressive to just be a machine. At first, he’s just curious about her, but as they spend more time together, things start to change. The game does a great job of slowly building their relationship, and by the time you realize it, you’re completely invested. It’s a simple story, but it really hits where it matters. My Review on Lucy -The Eternity She Wished For- I didn’t expect to feel this much from such a short VN. The writing is straightforward but really effective—it doesn’t try too hard to be deep, but it still makes an impact. I found myself completely attached to Lucy, and the emotional moments hit way harder than I thought they would. There were times I had to just pause and take it all in. It really makes you think about the whole "what makes someone human?" question without forcing it down your throat. The visuals are beautiful, especially Lucy’s expressions. Every time she smiled, it felt so real, and when she looked sad, it hurt. The CGs are really well done, and they add a lot to the emotional weight of the story. The soundtrack is also amazing, it perfectly matches the mood of every scene. There were some tracks that really stuck with me, and even after finishing the game, I kept going back just to listen to them again. (As of writing this review, I am currently listening to [url=https://youtu.be/CVCILl7ccT8?si=oTDAd_9Hir0OWR5j] Main Menu True End Theme song. It is just such an amazing ost to listen too and it brings me back to old visual novel soundtracks.) In Conclusion: Lucy -The Eternity She Wished For- is short, simple, and absolutely worth playing. It doesn’t have the most complex plot or crazy twists, but the emotions it delivers are real. It made me smile, it made me sad, and it left me thinking about it even after it was over. If you’re into emotional VNs with great characters and music, I’d definitely recommend giving this one a try. Solid 8/10 for me, it's very good! Absolutely worth it.

If robots were made to have feelings, how do we draw the line between human and robots? Just our appearance? What is inside? Our memories? Humans might keep telling themselves they are just robots, but what would the robots themselves think? It is real for them, is it really just fine to see them as tincans that follow our orders and made to do work? Humans can be very well terrified that robots/androids can become close ro resembling humans, so it will be natural that we tell themselves they are just machines. While following our protagonist and the android he found, Lucy, we have many of those types of questions get brought up. The protagonist who doesnt like androids and never had experience with one. And Lucy whom is a android model that shares a lot of similarities with humans... Very good and extremely short VN too, I recommend thinking and even talk about the questions that arise with others! Especially with our technology itself improving.

It's an endearing and emotional visual novel about a boy who finds an abandoned android, seemingly left for scrap in a junkyard, and discovers there is far more to her than a simple robot. Story is emotional so be ready for some tears. The production quality, music, and design is OK for a small scale visual novel. But that's pretty much it, I found the story pretty predictable and boring but that's just for me, there's no telling if you would like it. So go ahead and try it out! I will give it 6,5 out of 10.
