I will start out saying that the main complaints I have seen on other reviews are of the catch rates, and I do agree within reason. I've caught more than I was anticipating after reading reviews and giving the game a try. So, I guess the RNG gods were blessing me of sorts. The quests are pretty simple so far with going here and there and battling various critters. I'm enjoying myself so far and look forward to playing more and seeing where the development of this game goes. I hope they continue to support and add more lughs to capture. So far I feel the game is a good 7-8 out of 10 and I could see it getting better as it develops. ( Yes, there is a battle pass and a few cosmetics in the game you can purchase with real money. I don't mind these too much cause I can simply ignore.) Speaking of the battle pass though it takes SO much for it to level up. That is my biggest complaint at this time. I do hope they change that by a lot in the upcoming updates.
Good evening, I would just like to inform you that I really enjoy to play the newly released game Lugh world, thank you so much for this fantastic, enjoyable game I love this game, battles ,grinding, shinies. All of it this is a really fun game and I am always excited to begin the game. This is a very promising game and I am looking forward to seeing the future content. I Also would like to give a big shout out to one of the devs Bruxo. He helped me to fix the issue I had with regards to my battle pass and he sorted me out very quickly. Thanks for all the help and thumbs up for a great game.
Edit: I'm changing my review to positive. While the game is not in the best state, there is a solid foundation here for the devs to build on and create something great. They've listened to community feedback and a lot of what I wrote below is no longer relevant. They've removed gameplay impacting items from the real world money shop. The game has a small amount of content, basically a tutorial questline. After that you can explore the main island and the small islands you can visit via the boat. Unless you like catching creatures over and over again, min maxing stats and hunting the best possible creatures for your team, the game is probably not right for you right now. Give it a little time to cook but I think I can recommend based solely on the devs reaction to feedback. [Original review] I'm writing this review, not to deter players, but to catch the attention of the devs. I want to give honest feedback as someone who is genuinely interested in supporting this game early. Introducing a battle pass and P2W consumables at an (alpha) early access stage feels like a misalignment of priorities, especially with a lack of content and an empty feeling world. At this point in development, most players expect the focus to be on stability, core gameplay, and building trust with the community, not layered monetisation systems. These kinds of mechanics don’t just affect balance, they shape perception. Right now, it creates the impression that monetisation is being prioritised before the game has proven its foundation. That can push players away, especially when there are competing games in this genre that avoid these systems entirely. Early adopters are usually your most invested supporters. If we feel the experience is being compromised or gated behind spending this early, it risks long-term damage to player trust and retention. I’d strongly encourage reconsidering the timing and structure of these systems. Either delaying them until the game is more complete, or ensuring they remain strictly cosmetic and non-intrusive. People want to support this game and I'm sure many will, but we also want to feel respected as players. The game feels like it has potential and a lot of it at that. I'm really curious, if not excited, to see where you take this and improve it into the game it deserves to be. If the game continues down the road it's currently treading, I certainly won't be supporting this further than I already have. I understand the need for monetisation but not when it intrudes on the core gameplay loops. That said, I've had fun with what I've played so far, even with the bare bones of what has been presented. I will update my review when I feel like the game is an acceptable investment for others, but right now I cannot recommend this to others in good conscience.
