At first I was on the fence due to the text heavy nature of the game, this is a prime example of why more games should offer free Demos. Once I was 1-2h into it, I decided "well, I got hooked" and bought it. 100h and 100% achievements later it's safe to say that I regret nothing. Also, as a big plus, your save state from the Demo carries over!

Legitimately the best idle game I've played on Steam. I wish every idler was at this level of quality, or at least that we'd get a Magic Research 3

Really good, the name is a little misleading as it's a Text RPG with gear, builds (melee included) and lots of Dungeon Crawling / bosses. Very fun game, with lots of content 0 fun to tinker with in the background or play focused, suits passive and active play styles.

A masterclass of the incremental genre. It took me 100+ hours of engaging active micromanaging to get the 101% for the game. There is a lot of content and many different ways to tackle the different challenges and roadblocks as you progress through your save. What blew me away as even after finishing "everything", which was no small feat, the game then rewards you with an optional NG+ Worlds mode to further push progression past the normal limits if you wanted even more to do. Every mechanic you need to know about is clearly described in the games compendium with helpful tips to steer you in the right direction if you are stuck. Magic Research 2 is much more expanded, improved and built upon game from the original Magic Research, where it is not required to play the 1st game to enjoy this one.
