PEAK friendslop, insanely underrated hidden gem... if you're looking for friendslop games to play with your friends and you don't wanna loop lethal company clones, play this. it's like mario kart meets ultimate chicken horse, and i cannot express how much joy this game has brought me and my friends. 11/10 would recommend 1000x
We played this game blind with 7 people (6 players max) and had an amazing time. We were all laughing and screaming for the full 2 hours we played. You have something special here and is a great balance of skill and chaos. Just wanted to list some of the great features that worked well: - 6 players local multiplayer is very welcomed! - Driving assist for those less experiences was fantastic. It would be nice to have its strength be per player. - Simple controls were very easy to explain (even when using a mix of xbox and gamecube controllers). In addition the game immediately recognized 6 gamepads without needing to jump in the settings (very common for games above 4 players) - The look is clean, and runs well, and seems to have a deep set of mechanics for those that are more competitive. - A lot of options to customize the game for the group Some rough edges we noticed: - We encountered a bug where 1 player would just stop spawning for the remainder of the race. It happened a few times in our session. Not game breaking, but it would almost guarantee that player could never make enough points back. - Shortcuts are a cool option, but they were implemented in a very confusing way. Seems like everyone else dies, and suddenly only 1 or 2 racers are driving by themselves on another track. A simple delay saying SHORTCUT, then resume would go a long way to explain what is happening. Anyways, I hope to see more from this. Constantly unlocking new vehicles, tracks, items as we got better at the game made this an instant classic for our group.
I can honestly say that this game has brought me and my friends hours of joy and I don't see it stopping anytime soon. No matter how we feel going into a gaming session, we leave happier after playing Make Way together. It is truly a special experience. More people should play it.
