Mark of the Ninja is one of the best stealth games you will ever get to play. The movement is incredibly smooth and just feels great. But the actual magic is that the game is almost never frustrating. The mechanics are so well-established that you always understand why a guard spotted you and exactly what you can do in a given situation. The level and overall design is just chef's kiss. The game also respects your time. It saves constantly, so if you mess something up, you can just go right back and try again in a few seconds. No replaying huge chunks! The story becomes surprisingly good in the second half and really makes you want to see how it's going to end. On top of the different items at your disposal, there is a variety of costumes you can unlock. Each one provides unique benefits and negatives; some of them can significantly change your approach to the game, which makes it fun to replay in New Game+. My only tiny complaint is with the item balance. You have only a limited number of slots, and some tools are so strong that others end up feeling quite filler-like, so you never even consider using them. Even if you don't normally like stealth, you should try this. You can go loud if you want! It's a true masterpiece of the tactical espionage action genre.

I'm not a fan of stealth, but this game is made very well, and it has an interesting storyline that makes you want to see it through to the end.

Great Game This Game is fabulous. Every player should have this, who wants to experience: 1. Little Good Story Line, 2. Great Stealth, 3. Ninja Style movements 4. Extraordinary Executions within a short game. But, I'll recommend that you purchase this Game on Sale.

Twelve years ago, I bought and finished Mark of the Ninja: what a great game! Then it was remastered in 2018 with achievements and all that good stuff. But I did not feel like replaying it again... until recently when playing Gunpoint (another oldies) reminds me of Mark of the Ninja. And I was not disappointed: when you can play a game, 12 years later, with the same lever of fun, pleasure and satisfaction, you know this is a great game! And Mark of the Ninja is among these few.
