Marlow Briggs completely changed how i looked at life, when i got up in the morning i always felt there was something awry, somethings wrong here, i couldnt figure out what it was until i bought marlow briggs and realized, i needed a new breed of WARRIOR to save the ENTIRE planet. in all seriousness, marlow briggs is unapologetic in its b movie presentation, and if you go in wanting jsut that youll be pleasantly surprised by an actually solid and fun game that encapsulates the 7th generation of gaming this well, its silly and over the top and it has a lot of explosions the story is... as simple as it gets really, but its so silly i have a hard time finding any criticism of it besides it being sparce, but it is a short game so i think it serves its purpose. if you guessed unshameful sequelbait, you guessed right the gameplay, despite the age of the game and the seemingly no name disbanded dev studio, is actually pretty solid, you get your basic and ehavy attacks, a block that doubles as a deflect, several weapons and magic attacks, and plenty of enemies to fight, thoguht half the time you are also platforming and doing assorted mini games and challenges for some reason the most prominent ones are like a galaga style shoot em up and subway surfers, i just thoguht it was a hilarious development when i first saw it the game is relatively short, but its also like 5 dollars so in my opinion i think its well worth one playthrogut marlow briggs is a game unnapoligetic in its presentation, what you see is what you get, and for me it was exaclty what i wanted for a fun nostalgia trip for a tonally hilarious period of the industry to have a laugh and even have some fun saving the ENTIRE planet. also PLEASE look into the dev team, the wikipedia page is so fucking crazy it absolutely fried me

For games like this there is the term "Hidden Gem" This game is just an old school PS2-PS3 era Hacknslash game but its straight forward in every category here are some points: -No backtracking -No long dialogues or cutscenes still a good delivered and VERY simple story and thats completly fine for this game -No crazy skill tree u get four weapons which u can lvl up to get more HP and new combos for that weapon same with the abilities only that u get more mana and more dmg for that ability but sadly the last ability u get like 30min before the end of the game If you like the games iam gonna list now u will probably like this game: -God of war (PS2 psp) -Devil May Cry (PS2) -Darksiders 1 -Castlevania lords of shadows (the 2012-2013 reboot) -Deadpool (by activision) -Enslaved: Odyssey to the west i could keep going but i guess u get what this game is by now if u see this list (even when i listed DMC and DP there are no guns in this game) and dont get me wrong this game is not on the lvl of the games i just listed but it definitly trys to be them and it certainly has that feel while playing If u see this game on sale for 0,99cents get it (i got it for 0,99cents) hell even get it for 4,99 if u have 5 bucks to spare and 6-8 hours to waste I had some bugs which could got caused on my behalf by not turning off the game (did something else and forgot to close the game) like missing terrain where i fell through the map which got fixed after realoading the last quicksave or reloading the last checkpoint which literally takes 1 second to do and one bug where an event didnt start which got fixed too with the same method So yeah overall i can definitly recommend this game and as long as u guys have in mind for how cheap u got it and that there was a noname (for me atleast) development team behind it you will have some fun with it. And btw the main character is talking during the gameplay with a crash bandicoot mask which gives you your powers and there are some funny bits there :D I hope my review can help you David

Back in college my buddy and I would rent bad 80s action flicks from the $1 section of the local video store. We tried to to find the "So bad, it's good" and every once in a while were surprised by a genuinely entertaining (albeit low quality) move. This game is like that, picked it up for $2 on sale and despite all its rough, buggy edges, I enjoyed 90% of the 5 hours spent blazing thru this game. Turn off your brain and enjoy a very over the top action game

Very fun game except for the wildly moving camera angles! Used an Xbox controller. Definitely worth the sale price I paid for it! :D
