It's a decent point click advenutre game albeit a bit clunky and has limitations. It has some interesting puzzles but it has some midly boring ones too where you have to match things. If you like a reasonably interesting story then pick this up at a discount.

Recommended, with reservations I enjoyed Moebius: Empire Rising, but this is a game that demands patience. Many actions unfold very slowly, and the game often refuses to let Malachi pick up items proactively. Instead, you’re forced into unnecessary backtracking when an object suddenly becomes relevant. It feels less like classic adventure design and more like artificial time padding. That said, anyone used to old-school adventure games will recognize this rhythm: slow, methodical, detail-oriented. If you come in expecting modern pacing, frustration is likely; if you come prepared to observe and absorb, it’s manageable. The story clearly carries Jane Jensen’s DNA — conspiratorial, intellectual, and rooted in real-world concepts. The game borrows names, theories, and references (including the Möbius strip itself) not to present hard science, but to create a sense of plausible intellectual depth. It works as atmosphere and thematic texture, not as something to be taken academically. Unfortunately, some narrative beats and gameplay loops do become repetitive, which weakens the overall impact. The graphics are very dated, but that didn’t bother me — I value story over visuals, and here the narrative ambition is doing most of the heavy lifting. Overall, Moebius is solid entertainment for the right audience: patient players who enjoy conspiracy-driven narratives and classic adventure sensibilities. 6.5/10 — good ideas, uneven execution, and a strong concept that sometimes gets in its own way.

LOVED the Gabriel Knight games of the past, so was excited to try this developer's game from years later. It did not disappoint. If you are familiar with the GK games, each one incorporated new ideas into gameplay, so that was just part of it. There are a few things that might annoy some with the technical gameplay, but it's really a very good game with a thrilling story. It also hit that sweet spot where I had to think and try things but didn't have to cheat with hints constantly. Here's how you measure a great game: are you relieved that it's over, or would you have enjoyed more of the story/stories like it? This game falls in the latter category.

What a great hidden gem of a game, that sadly looks unlikely to receive sequels due to a lack of commercial success (probably a result of the wonky graphics and lip-syncing). But the story is creative and fascinating as you take the role of an antiques dealer with sky-high IQ and eidetic memory. He travels the world assessing ancient artefacts, picks up useful companions along the way, and gets caught up in a conspiracy known as "the pattern". Jane Jensen is one of the top writers and game designers in the history of the industry and I hope to see more projects from her, and I'll still hold out for a Moebius sequel as unlikely as it seems.
