As someone who's kept up with the monument valley games since FOREVER, this was phenomenal. The puzzles were amazing and it got me hooked. ( I literally finished it in one session ) I always really enjoy the vibrant colors and contrasts this series has to offer, as well as when every game comes out there has to be a new feature / gimmick to it. I might go on a ramble but I really enjoyed the story and plot of this one because it really surrounds the point of rebuilding a community after a devastating / life changing flood. Adding onto that, ( this may be a stretch ) but in the garden of life dlc when you really get to go through everyone's puzzles it feels like ( at least to me ) how everyone is different and has gone through and overcome different situations in their life with some needing closure, reflection and more. This is an amazing third addition to this series and I recommend it oh so much as the other two as well.

I love the Monument Valley series, but this is the shortest and easiest of them all. The first one was much harder and longer. Having said that, the devs are planning to add another area early in December. There is something magical about these games. The beautiful architecture and crumbling ruins, the gentle music and captivating characters bring a lot of charm into the games. And the twisting buildings and unique illusional puzzles confuse your brain! You play Noor who is an apprentice to a lighthouse keeper and you need to maintain the lights to keep the ships safe. A great storm causes rising tides and smashes many lighthouses leaving areas in darkness. Your journey is to restore the sacred light to these little communities. This game is a nautical one with Noor being on a boat travelling from island to island accompanied by creatures in the sea. Along the way, you reunite a family and bring hope back to the world. I particularly loved the adorable little boat which gave a skip now and again. Delightful and relaxing, an ideal game to forget our crazy world for a while. Recommend buying on sale as price is a bit steep with current content. 8/10

I was thinking a lot whether to give a recommendation or not. While this game is a true masterpiece in all art senses, it is too damn short and easy compared to previous ones. Yes we will have an update adding more.... in 6 months? I am saddened that they kinda follow big companies way of working, releasing something half done and then adding it later on. Why I didn't send a negative review? Because as said, this cannot undermine what a true masterpiece this game is for your eyes and ears.

Another very beautiful game from ustwo like always. Monument Valley 3 goes above and beyond to merge storytelling and beauty like the rest of the games in this series, but does it with a surprising twist that subverts expectations in a good way. It's also the first game I remember that explicitly shows loss and sadness, slight departure from the normally bright and colorful tone of the other games. Easy 10 out of 10. Would highly recommend for everyone to pick up.
