July 2025
This is my introduction to the MotoGP games. I've played a ton of racing sims like asetto, f1, dirt rally, etc. This is my second motorcycle racing game (the first being Ride 5, also by Milestone). And I gotta say: eh. Like don't get me wrong, it's fun and I thoroughly enjoy MotoGP racing, but the game is just.... too easy or way too hard. Like, with Arcade handling (which gives me a very Ride 5 feeling), I'm at max difficulty, with the slowest bike on the grid, doing 10-15s faster than the AI in every single race. I figured it was because Ii was doing the Arcade handling, so I switched to sim, and now the bikes are just completely uncontrollable. Every braking zone is a stoppie. Every touch of the accelerator is a massive backflip/wheelie, or I just high side it immediately. There's no happy medium. The difficulty on Arcade mode needs to be harder (that or the abilities in arcade mode nerfed, whichever) so you can have competitive races. I don't like online racing, in fact, I've grown to hate it over the years. That's not why I bought the game, so something in the singleplayer needs to change. Upgrading: It's so dull... It seems like a worse version of F1 2016. Like you don't know what upgrades are even happening to the bike, or when they'll be completed. And frankly, I feel next to no difference after upgrade packages are installed. But again, why would I want to upgrade the bike, when I'm already dominating EVERY race on the WORST bike. IDK I just feel like there could be some changes made to the physics or controls to more accurately reflect upgrades. Mini-modes: Motard, minibike, flat track. What do I even say about these? Mini-bike is fun, I guess. It's just slow, turn-early, win. Motard and Flat Track are undrivable on controller (at least on arcade mode). To complete a turn, you have to slow down to a crawl (no sliding allowed on Arcade). Meanwhile Every single AI is passing you every single corner. I'm not a fan of these, I want to play "MOTOGP" not "Jorge Martin's Day Off." All in all, it's VERY meh. This review has been overly Critical in hopes that maybe Milestone will see it, but at its core the game is FUN. I had a career race, where Marc Marquez Torpedo-ed me in the first corner of a Sprint Race, and fighting to climb back up to 5th was incredibly satisfying. Hands down, the most fun I've had playing this game. Fighting is the fun part of racing, especially on a bike and in actual MotoGP races. If you're new to motorcycle racing games, go with the Ride series (sort of like a Forza Motorsport for bikes). If you love MotoGP, and liike bike games... it's worth it on sale. Not full price. I'd still recommend it, but serious changes need to happen before next years game. EDIT: they've added the ability to skip the mini games, thank god the game is still pretty easy with arcade riding style on 120 difficulty, I've added artificial difficulty by skipping practice and only giving myself one flying lap on Q2 (after pit exit) and one lap in Q1. makes things a bit more interesting

the simulator itself is really fun. arcade mode is a welcome addition. but as usual for motoGP what would otherwise be a fun all-around game is kinda ruined by the AI... once again... how many times does your player-base have to tell you that it is not fun to be dive-bombed in every single turn by obviously rubber-banding scripted bots? At least give them some small behavior of collision avoidance, or get rid of the terminator-like rubberbanding. Overall a B- of a racin' game.

Best Motogp bike game ever made by milestone srl. Way way better then any Motogp. Game they ever made before, Love the new bike sounds. Arcade mode is great, also game performance is excellent. the Flat Tracks and Minibikes bikes are so much fun to play. well done to all. 10/10 a big big recommend .

Arcade mode was exactly what this game needed and it's well made. Instead of just all assists on, it let's you actually drive but with more grip - you can still crash but it's way closer to games from early 2000s - like MotoGP URT 2 and I love it In previous editions I was happy when I was able to drive one lap without rewinds and here I can finally focus on racing and not trying to hold on to my life. One thing that's weird is total lack of control over setup but if that's what it takes I'll take it Also the pro settings are similar to last year's - I've tried them in driver academy and it was fine - on the edge of the grip, trying to find perfect brake point, so those that seek simulation will still be happy and it's a great approach from the devs. Awesome job
