I loved playing this game on the ps3, and it's still fun on pc. Still liked how it's pretty challenging on the hardest difficulties, but still doing my best to get those 3 stars!

Mushroom Wars delivers an intense RTS experience hidden underneath a fun, playful art style. Don't let the graphics mislead you, this game will demand your undivided attention and relies heavily on your ability to allocate your armies strategically. The game itself is a very simplified and boiled down RTS system since there are no resources to harvest or other kinds of variables vying for your attention, your only goal is to claim and keep a small collection of towers and buildings. There's a small number of different buildings and they serve very specific purposes that benefit your efforts to claim more territory. At least two opponents thoughtfully organize hoards of loyal mushroom soldiers as they attempt to monopolize all available territory within a small arena-type environment. It's a simple concept done well and although a solo experience is provided, the game includes online and split screen multiplayer. The music selection is pretty limited and I've had no luck finding online matches, but the campaign has been an enjoyable challenge and I can always get it for a friend. People who see RTSs as boring will likely still enjoy Mushroom Wars' appealing visuals, simple mechanics and addictive gameplay. Years ago I played this with my cousins on their PS3 and I never forgot it, so out of 10, I'll give this game an 8
