I love this game. I was part of the QA team for it many, many years ago and after all this time, having worked on countless other games, this one has stuck with me and I always felt like it was special. I think it's a shame it isn't more well known and stopped being updated shortly after release. The creative director for the game "Dennis Detwiller" had "Currently creating my opus NECROPOLIS" on his LinkedIn but left the company after it released. Probably because it was his passion project but the company that owns it didn't see it make enough money right away to keep developing it. I doubt it'll ever be picked back up or get a sequel or anything. That being said, if you see it on sale, might as well give it a try and imagine what it could've been with a few years of updates.

Just beat the game with one of my friends as a duo, took 8 hours, It is 3am, and I've never had a better gaming experience, The last 8 hours was easily better than any woman I've been with, it saddens me there's not more content... If anyone sees this and wants someone to help them complete the game, Let me know, and we'll play, No matter how long this is up feel free to contact me for a game of Necropolis! (If you're considering the game, and don't think you'll love it, buy it on a sale, the only disappointing thing is the lack of players, so add me!)

Might not have ended up living to it's potential, but it's still a decent 3rd person coop rogue-like. Definitely worth trying on a sale.

Pro: - It's a mind chilling game, where you just smash, dodge, parry, but if you die, you gotta start all over again. So it's has that balance. 10/10 - Multiplayer. It gets fun to play multiplayer with your buddies. - Easy to learn - Humor in every place possible, great art style, minimalist design Cons: - The current price at 30 dollars it's too much. If you get a discount, and end up paying like 5-7-10-15 dollars, then it's worth it - Developers have abandoned the game and moved on. Last update was 8 years ago. Your success or failure depends on planning, proper use of items, but most important - having the right weapon for the right enemy. Soon you'll find yourself on necropolis.fandom.com/wiki learning about each weapon, armor, codexes, potions...and so on. Lack of descriptions of items/weapons in game - makes the game both interesting and a tad annoying. Attack pattern of some enemies can be repetitive. But if you like that mind numbing clicking and dodging, then it shouldn't be a problem. Yea, I enjoy the game a lot. Totally fun. But it needs a discount.

beware before buying that this game is finished and is no longer being updated. it was abandoned, so you are getting a product that may have bugs and what not that will not be resolved. however, this game can be found very cheap and often goes on sale for a good price. the combat is pretty fun, the bosses are decent and the exploration and art style is pretty solid. i only experienced minor bugs so i didnt have any issues with the game personally and im sure you can probably get more enjoyment out of this game with some buddies. the elements/mechanics in the game are decent and it ran pretty well. it's not a very long game though, as i almost hit 9 hours and scoured and found everything and killed everything i could. i will recommend this game on sale for souls/roguelike fans who want something cheap to have some laughs on and grind for a day or two. overall, it's decent and worth the sale prices and key prices it gets listed for.
