i play this whenever im sad in hopes of it making me happier because like, i love kangel and the overall visuals of thia game but it makes me even more sad for some offputting reason and i fucking hate it and hate everything

i love how this game is so different from mainstream games. the psychological thriller aspect is cool too. however the fandom is weird. no you dont want a gf like ame and no you are not ame. both of u are miserable losers and need to go outside

The internet overdose ending is very interesting in how it portrays internet culture, one of the endings is a depiction of Rorochan's final stream as well, an interesting way to teach people about it and portrays it in a careful manner Too bad the internet boiled the whole game down to "omg cute internet girl aesthetic" "just like me fr" and "I can fix her"

This game left me with a strange, unsettling aftertaste — and I mean that as a compliment. NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE isn’t just a visual novel; it’s a disturbingly accurate portrait of online addiction, painted in garish colors and dark humor, yet painfully real. Its greatest strength lies in its variety. The sheer number of endings is impressive, and what’s more — most of them feel organic, like a natural consequence of your choices. From absurdly funny to downright horrifying, each one adds a new layer to Ame’s character and shifts the way you see the story. The game masterfully balances satire with a harsh emotional reality. It doesn’t shy away from heavy themes like isolation, obsessive dependency, self-harm, and physical abuse. Some scenes hit hard. Mechanically, the game is smartly designed. You’re constantly juggling Ame’s mental health, her relationship, and her streaming stats, and the tension never really lets up. That said — some endings are extremely hard to get. Not because the game is unfair, but because the conditions are obscure and sometimes counterintuitive. You’ll find yourself combing through every possible route to uncover the right sequence, which can be frustrating — but when you finally unlock that last ending, the payoff feels amazing. I managed to unlock every achievement, and I can confidently say that despite how deeply uncomfortable this game can be, it’s also incredibly compelling. NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE isn’t afraid to get ugly — and that’s exactly why it sticks with you. Highly recommended, but only if you're ready for a full-on emotional dive and a few psychological gut punches.
