I like this game, I do. Got it for about $7 on a sale. Pretty standard blueprint for a 2d rogue-lite. I really enjoy the hatching-eggs-pet mechanic. A dodge would be nice but maybe I am just used to other similar games. My biggest complaint is how hard it is to differentiate between your bullets and the enemies attacks. Overall though, well worth a sale purchase, minimum.
It's so very good that it's hard to describe. I used to play this game on Xbox years ago and its such a lovely time to play it again recently, Many many memory's coming back nostalgia is an awesome thing. I do miss the old progression maps for the characters and some Items like film magazine and police badge, other than that its plain awesome
I love this game, and haven't been able to stop playing it recently! I really like the randomness and combos that you can make, sometimes I've had runs where I'm shooting 10 bullets and take almost no damage. I do find the wisdom/violence mechanic kind of annoying sometimes though. I've had several cursed athena runs that were ruined because I was at almost full wisdom charge, and I take one bit of damage. That converts the wisdom to violence, and I have to completely restart the run just so I can try to get to cursed athena again. Other than that, I really like the art style and music. It fits so well with the gameplay. The game runs perfectly on just about anything too! Overall, it's a great game! 9.5/10 in my book.
Good game. Don't let reviews from basement dwellers convince you otherwise. This is a fun, addictive and beautiful game with a lot of content. Got it on sale for less than $5 and I am having a blast playing after work. Streamers and people with no jobs and no real life problem living with mom and dad may think otherwise, but they live in another reality.
