Gameplay is similar to Fights in tight spaces, but sufficiently different to make it fun in spite of the hundreds of hours I spent on FITS. If you like either, you'll also like the other. Also recommended if you like card battlers in general - the positioning aspect adds a tactical level that many deck building games are missing.

This takes two of my favourite games - Slay the Spire and Into the Breach - and creates a delicious chimaera of them. So far I'm enjoying it. Hard to shake some of the similarities to STS (you might pick up a card and think "oh it's a Blade Dance", "oh it's a Catalyst"), but there's enough interesting and unique stuff that it feels like its own thing. The similarity to Into the Breach is more in terms of the battle mechanic, but the comparatively generous health bar leads to less pure puzzle-solving. The art direction is great, particularly the background environments. Bosses and elites are cool.

I don’t understand people that say this is a “fights in tights spaces” copy. The realty is that both games have two things in common that you move on a grid and push mechanics. For me those games are very different. I personally like more nitro kid because there is more synergies and combos. And the soundtrack is VERY good one of the best.

This game ticks all the boxes for me: - great vibe/feeling; 80's nostalgia - both tactical and strategical depth - enormous fun factor - challenging (enough) - fast, fluent gameplay Love it!
