S1-S7: first half of the game. Generally about-average plot but very little gameplay. Combat is like a walk in the park so it's like reading a Jump comic more than an RPG. S8-final: second half, but also a total evolution of the first half in terms of gameplay, plot and combat. Some enemy characters are so cool and charismatic! (The last chapter changed my opinion towards one pink-haired guy completely) It deserves every dollar I spent. Hope it'll get an anime adaptation soon.

The story is the real gem of the game. It's well paced, I didn't feel like each section is too short or long. Every episode keeps getting more and more hype. It was a trill to see the plot twists episode after episode. The characters are well written, and their personalities bounce off each other nicely. There isn't anybody I can dislike really (Especially Burrows) . Noel changes so much throughout the entire game as a person from being selfish to being caring towards others. The gameplay and soundtrack are solid. The game's mechanics and visuals are very unique considering it's a RPG Maker game. Each fights are visually great. The soundtrack is very endearing, although some of the transitions are a bit over the top. You can get the feeling of the situation in every section. Don't expect too much, but it's still great to see how much effort is put into this game. In my opinion, this is the best RPG Maker game of all time. I've enjoyed Kanawo's previous work, Blank Dream, and want to see what other things they're working on and came across this. If you can, I recommend getting the rest of the Season DLCs as well for a more conclusive ending to the story. 10 out of 10. I'M NOT A CROW

I was going through a bunch of older looking rpgmaker games and putting them on my wishlist since I wanted to go back and experience those games. While looking through them during the winter sale, I looked at a review for this game that said it was "one of the best games I've played in the decade". With a review like that, how could I not buy it to see what it was all about? They were right.

One of, if not the best RPGMaker game ever made. A thrilling narrative driven by charming characters, masterful cliffhangers, amazing art, great music - basically the whole package. Buying the DLC is an absolute necessity, as the game is episodic in nature. Game goes on great discounts, definitely worth picking up!

I played the game more in 2019, pirated, just after having passed Angles of Death because it came out in recommendations. At that time, I played chapters 1 to 7, chapter 8 didn't exist yet, and I decided to wait until I finished the game. Now in 2024, I have been able to buy it with all the DLC, and it is one of the best games I've played in the decade, I wish I had more budget to not notice certain rough edges as in the soundtrack, or sfx. But the important thing of the game is the story and gameplay. I have played many RPG Maker games that used the same formula as always, but this game, in EVERY chapter innovates and gives a twist to the mechanics, always advancing and intruducing them in a perfect way. You will never get bored, the pacing is spectacular and rewards you properly for exploring and thinking before doing the puzzles (not to make them trial and error). The story is 10, it has good plot twists, at the beginning it is a bit predictable, you know that every time you go to a chapter you will beat the character on duty, but halfway through the game, they completely change the shape of the story adding new characters that are all relevant and giving a different shape to each chapter.
