I wasn’t sure what to expect from Nukitashi and went in with low expectations, but it really surprised me in a positive way. It has the typical Japanese VN structure where you start with a common route and then branch into character routes, making it basically a kinetic novel, but the story itself feels quite unique. I expected it to focus mainly on comedy and naughtiness, but it also delivers darker moments and more drama than I anticipated. The writing is very good—especially with the unofficial improvement patch—and of course, the adult patch is a must. I thoroughly enjoyed my first playthrough, which took around 12 hours to complete, and since there are multiple character routes, each adding several more hours, there’s quite a lot of content here. The art is also good, though the backgrounds aren’t very varied and you’ll often see the same ones repeated. The H-scenes are static with no animation or real variation, and they’re not very frequent considering the tone of the story. They’re also censored, so I wouldn’t recommend buying the VN for those scenes alone. The game’s resolution isn’t high, with upscaled Full HD being the maximum, but it’s still perfectly fine and doesn’t detract from the experience. The voice acting, on the other hand, is excellent across all characters and adds a lot to the atmosphere. As for the story, it’s overall quite good. It can feel a bit silly at times, and there are some parts that don’t hold up perfectly logically, but as the story progresses, many of those issues get addressed, and by the end it all comes together well enough that I didn’t have any real complaints. Usually, I get bored with longer Japanese VNs since they tend to drag, but Nukitashi manages to keep things moving at a good pace and remains engaging throughout. Overall, this was a very enjoyable experience that I can easily recommend—especially on sale, though even at full price it’s a fair deal. If you enjoy Japanese VNs that mix comedy, fun writing, and a quirky, unique story, you’ll almost certainly have a great time with this one. Hell of a great visual novel, easy 8.5 or 9/10. Make sure you get the full patch from Shiravune + get the fan retranslation patch that fixes a few changes in the script.

ONLY BUY IF YOU PLAN ON PATCHING THE GAME!! NUKITASHI unpatched (official english release) only has about 2 hours of content with 85% of the game missing, while the patched version (official Japanese release) has about 40 hours of content!!

Started playing this Visual Novel just because the anime on air and want to get into the story without waiting the 1 episode per week kinda deal, because it is definitely interesting to say the least. (I didn't even think that this would be even possible to air) Played for a good 4 hours on the Visual Novel at the equivalent of basically the 24 mins Episode 1 of the Anime, a lot of things have been summarized and I understand because that is how it works with other series as well, didn't occur to me after 8 hours into this VN of just enjoying reading and listening to the characters that I forgot that this is a Visual Novel game, it is when I met my first choice in this playthrough (if you played it you know what I am referring to) this is not my first rodeo in Eroge and this choices stumped me for a good 15 mins before finally deciding on one. Truly the Visual Novel experience! Other than that the story is interesting to say the least for an Eroge, definitely will try to finish this before the anime finish airing! 8/10

For a story with such an absurd concept, Nikitashi delivers a surprisingly heartfelt and thought-provoking narrative about human relationships and social constructs. Every route is unique with its distinctive message about individualism and society, which ultimately contribute to create one the best true ending that I’ve ever read. Don’t let the premise trick you into thinking that Nukitashi is just a nonsensical nukige; it’s a story about struggle, understanding, connection, and forgiveness. It’s a wish for a more tolerant society, and that peace truly is the noblest pursuit. I would recommend playing in this order for the best experience: Misaki → Hinami → Nanase → True End.
