Level 21 and I are not on speaking terms, but still overall had a blast!
Come unpack, clean, repair and most importantly organize your way through 22 levels full of stuff, from a fridge to a camping trip, passing by a bakery and more. There’s a lot of content here, and every level is filled with varied items to place exactly how you want. Objectives are simple and give you tons of creative liberty, so you can go neat and symmetrical or mildly chaotic but intentional. No timer, no stress induced here. Just pure, quiet satisfaction. And yes, many items are stackable and fit together beautifully for maximum “that’s it” energy. The adorable black cat mascot is everywhere, following your every move like a tiny quality control inspector. The art is cute and colorful, gameplay is very intuitive, and the click to hold mechanic saves your wrists. There’s limited zoom for fine details and plenty of options to personalize the experience. Mystery object appearances are mostly tied to logical decisions, which I appreciated. Achievements follow normal completion and mystery items discovery, and there are multiple community guides if you need help. There’s even a scrapbook with stickers of all the items you organized, letting you piece together little stories about the people behind the mess. You can come back and replay levels without resetting progress, and even change item placements after completion to stage the perfect setup. Screenshots can be taken and are sent directly to your desktop, which is neat, but I would’ve loved them as Steam screenshots instead (nothing you can't do yourself though). Dev is responsive and adds new levels from time to time, but also new achievements, so completionists beware. It’s cozy, creative and mostly super satisfying. If you liked Pack my LunchBox but wanted more freedom in how you organize, this is it. Now, a few things. Some items are microscopic, and trying to pick them up often selects the bigger object underneath, which can mess up your whole setup. Also, all items start as not selected and appear slightly more blackish, which is great for placing new objects, but near the end of certain levels, especially the 22nd, I didn’t realize a few naturally black items were still unselected and that’s why the level wouldn’t end. And level 21? I’m not a fan of that logic. Putting the food on the spinning plates feels like it should work, but it didn’t, and there was no way I was putting every tiny thing back into place one by one like I just did XD Anyway, it's overall a good, cozy game leaving the player a lot of creative liberty. It's stress-free and even satisfying for the most part. Grab it full price or on sale depending on your interest towards 4h30 of calming organization. Extremely cozy organization game, with emphasis on decluttering-type organization. You first need to pick up and identify all the objects, and then put them where you want them. In that way, it's a lot like decluttering a messy area in your own house, and I was actually able to use skills I learned from playing this game to organize my closet! I just pretended it was another level in this game, and it worked! The cat was, as others have said, extremely cute and adds a lot. All the art is cute and fun to look at. The music is unremarkable but pleasant. There's a light puzzle element in that some items are hidden and can only be unlocked by putting other items in the right place (finding where they "belong"). I will say, I wouldn't play this unless you're comfortable around mentions of dieting, weight gain, and guilt/shame for eating. Folks with eating disorders or body dysmorphia may want to skip it. There's a lot of emphasis on the importance of staying thin and looking beautiful. Many item descriptions explicitly mention feelings of guilt and shame around food, and fear of gaining weight. Otherwise, if you get a nice dopamine hit from seeing a perfectly organized bathroom cabinet, then I really recommend this game. It has heart and sweetness, too, as you help its characters improve their lives and take steps toward their new futures.

I always finish these games way too fast. They're very addictive and it's always so satisfying to finish a level. The sheer amount of items to sort through blows my mind with the amount of work that must've gone into this. My only gripe is I wish to pet the cat.

This game came the closest to scratching the itch from Unpacking. Cute art style, love the hidden objects, and cute cat!

Wonderful Unpacking-style vibes, with furniture and containers that can be opened and filled with things, special objects that can interact with each other, and a mischievous cat hiding in every level. I really enjoyed it, but I'm sad that the music, although simple, is gen-AI. Maybe with enough success, they can use some of the profits to invest in a composer.
