I bought this game on a deep discount of 90% and it's on that basis that I write this review. If I had bought it full price, it would have been a "do not buy" review. What I liked about it is that it was simple, humorous and unapologetically silly. If you just want progress for the sake of progress, and easy achievements (it took me around 120 hours to get them all) then this game gives it to you. However, there are some serious negatives. You have no clue what most of the stuff actually does - it's just a name and a number. Yes I know that's all that these games really are under the hood, but it was still annoying. Some of the items in the "Special" section were very unbalanced. For example there's a Hamster that I think cost a Trillion to buy but it only gives you 10k when you click on it, and this will be at a point in the game when you're making tens of millions per second, so it's utterly pointless. Talking of which, the actual "clicker" elements of this game may as well not be there. They add so little and are not in any way satisfying. Really this is just an idler and there's not much to do, so I completed it because I like to finish things, but overall I just found the game pointless and boring. Really, the only reason to play it is the mild amusement from the poop factor, and the easy achievements.

Poop Clicker is an unapologetically absurd idle game developed and published by Serge Kornew, a title that makes its intentions clear the moment you see its name. Rather than disguising its humor or presenting itself with any form of subtlety, it embraces a goofy premise built entirely around clicking, collecting, and upgrading a single oversized poop icon. This commitment to silliness gives the game its identity: it exists purely to deliver uncomplicated pleasure, simple number-climbing mechanics, and the quick dopamine rush typical of the clicker genre. There is no story to chase, no deeper message to interpret, and no layers of hidden systems to unearth. What you see is exactly what you get—a cartoonish, self-aware toybox of incremental progression meant to be mindless fun. The gameplay hinges on the classic loop that defines most idlers: click to generate resources, spend those resources on upgrades, and gradually automate the process so the game continues producing for you. In Poop Clicker, this loop is framed by the absurd theme of collecting poop and using it to unlock increasingly strange helpers—such as a unicorn or a piece of corn—each offering incremental boosts to your production rate. As with all clickers, the satisfaction comes from watching numbers explode upward, buying the next upgrade, and feeling the compounding effects kick in. The appeal is primal and immediate, and the low barrier to entry means players can pick it up for a few minutes or lose an hour without realizing. It fits comfortably in the tradition of games that value simple escalation over complexity. However, the game’s design shows its modest scope. While the initial upgrades come quickly and offer amusing bursts of progression, the later phases reveal a shallower structure beneath the novelty. Many clickers compensate for repetitive interactions through layers of meta-progression, prestige systems, branching paths, or unlockable mechanics that transform the experience over time. Poop Clicker remains fairly linear, offering fewer long-term systems to engage with once the basic upgrades have been purchased. This means that the novelty of the humor and the loop can wear thin more quickly than in more elaborate incremental titles. The pacing also tends to flatten once automation is unlocked, leaving the player passively watching numbers rise rather than actively interacting. The technical presentation mirrors the game’s simple concept. Graphics consist of flat, clean 2D icons and cartoon illustrations that serve their purpose without aiming for flair. Interface elements are functional but lack the quality-of-life touches many modern clickers incorporate, such as clearer upgrade descriptions or more intuitive menus. Some players may find the interface unintuitive in spots, with limited explanations for certain items or effects. Despite these shortcomings, the lightweight nature of the game allows it to run smoothly on nearly any machine, making it accessible even on low-powered hardware. The minimalism of the audio and visual design complements its status as a no-frills indie project. Yet the game’s charm endures for those who understand what it strives to be. It never attempts to present itself as deep or sophisticated; instead, it thrives on being a deliberately ridiculous casual pastime. The humor is childish, but knowingly so, and the act of clicking a poop until you become the self-proclaimed “Poop King” can be surprisingly therapeutic in its simplicity. This self-awareness likely contributes to its positive reception on Steam, where many players approach it with the right expectations: not as a genre-defining clicker but as a tiny comedic distraction that delivers exactly the sort of silly fun it promises. Ultimately, Poop Clicker is a niche title with modest ambitions, and within that niche it performs adequately. It offers a few hours of laughs and incremental progress, making it suitable for players who enjoy idle games, quirky humor, or unusual indie curiosities. Its lack of depth, rough interface, and short-lived novelty limit its long-term appeal, but it succeeds at being a lighthearted escape that asks almost nothing from the player. For those who appreciate small, humorous clickers or simply want a disposable dose of levity, Poop Clicker delivers its oddball charm without hesitation. Rating: 7/10

7.2/10 Surprisingly good game, especially for the price. Could use better performance, offline earnings and generally faster progress though as clicking gives pretty much no benefit during most of the game - which is odd for a clicker game. Also lacks a proper introduction to all (few) mechanics.
