Bandai Namco tried something different to spice up the Pac-Man Formula and I persoanlly think they did a good job. The visuals are great and the new game mechanics are fun to learn. People are just mad it's not like the prequel and they're just bums. This game is suppose to be competitive. and I think geeks out there who play this for highscore can appreciate the new challenge. You can always go back to the prequel or OG and replay them. My only issue is I wish you could turn on pre-turning. Also The music is also 100x better than CE1.
This game is really fun as it's own thing, but it is much different than the original pac-man gameplay. In this game it's much more fast-paced. Eating all the dots isn't even necessary in this version, you need to eat enough to summon a fruit you can use to jump over to a different maze. Ghosts can't even kill you either. You have to touch them first and they go into a "rage" mode. Only THEN they can kill you, which makes sense because this game is way too fast-paced for ghosts to always be able to one-shot you. This game is extremely fast-paced, and it's new mechanic is ghost trains. There's a ton of little green ghosts that you wake up and they follow the main ghosts in the maze, you do this for more score when you eat them after using a power pellet. The game also has bosses which is really fun, but a lack of multiplayer. That is quite literally it. This game is nothing special but that's fine because this is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pac-man, not elden ring. It's a fun time, and it's on sale as im making this review so give it a try
do you love pac-man (like i do)? then you'll absolutely love this game. so many modes and options, an adventure mode, awesome electronic music, and an absolutely infectious gameplay loop all fit together into one incredible pac-game. if you're not so much a fan of the pac (or whether or not he is back), then i would recommend this one. save your mazuma for another great title like UNDERTALE or slime rancher.
